Reason Drum Kits is a collection of expressive and playable acoustic drum kits, recorded in legendary studio spaces, using a mix of vintage and state-of-the-art recording equipment. Recorded at legendary Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, no effort was spared in order to capture the sound and soul of these magnificent drum kits.

But where Reason Drum kits really shines is in the way so many creative decisions are open for you. All drum kits were recorded using the full mics array in the recording room, and all those recordings are available in Reason Drum Kits when you create your drum sound. Do you want a tight and intimate sound? Go for the close mics. Want a big and loud drum kit? Go wild with the overhead and ambience mics!

From thousands of samples, each drum kit has been meticulously crafted to allow for expressive performances. There are multiple samples per instrument to allow natural rolls and fills without the robotic machine gun effect of just re-triggering a single sample. Flams, roughs, side stick and other ways that drummers turns patterns into performances are all there for your creative use.

Features
- Hypersampled acoustic drum Rack Extension instrument
- Large selection of vintage and modern drum kits
- A complete drum recording session with separate levels for all mics, master compression and reverb
- Intuitive interface makes it a breeze to create and tweak sounds
- Recorded with a mix of vintage and state-of-the-art equipment in top rated studios
- Built-in effects include dedicated reverb & bus-compressor
- Build your dream kit from 75 sampled drums

The code reduces it from £89 to £34.71 for me. Which i think is 61% off! Nice.

I'll be trying it at some point before the saving ends.

Question: Are all the samples 24 bit?

good question.
i have reason drum kits 1 and 2, and there are 2 separate folders in each, 16 and 24 bit.
i assume that the Re version has juat the 24bit samples, but ikd like an official word as well

Fantastic! So, after 'Reason Electric Bass', this is the 2nd ReFill that has found its way into the RE world.
And thanks to PPH for the discount offer. The question is whether and when we'll see 'Reason Painos' in form of a RE? Hopefully soon. :)

Okay uhm, I have all the A-Lists and the RDK and I am wondering: what's the point. How would you convince me to buy this thing, if ease of use doesn't count for me?

Sounds like a good ole' fashioned discount for ALL Reason users!
Given that you don't have to produce your RDK license to get the discount.

Seems like you've already decided you don't need it.

For me, if i ever needed someone to convince me to buy something, I would worry about my self awareness and character.

Edit.. sorry, that's a bit harsh. If you're not sure, try it. That's what I'm going to do.

Just think is time to less PH RE and more optimizations, more daw features, etc

Just my two cents.

I'm not asking to actually convince me, I was asking how would you do it. A.k.a. are there any reasons and features at all besides ease of use.

Hope someone can correct me...but it looks like there's no way of swapping out individual drum sounds e.g. bringing in your OWN Snare/kickdrum/Hand clap etc...like you can with original RDK.

”Reason drum kits comes with sets of expertly crafted drum kits for you, but you can of course swap out individual drums if you want. Or build your own kit from scratch. 75 different drums, cymbals and hi-hats were recorded and you can combine them any way you like.”

But i don’t know yet if you can bring in your own samples.

Why is the product manual link giving a “403 Forbidden” message?
