How my video with 47 million views was stolen on YouTube
This is atrocious.

Is Youtube your enemy if they support the parasites first (or, in your case, people stealing/hacking your YT account)?
hmmm

OK, now I'm headed to Pinkfong's youtube page to claim Baby Shark.
Funny, but sad.

If Youtube cares so much about the community, then they'd have long improved their customer service.
If Youtube cared so much about the community, then they would've long done something about this, because they are definitely aware of the problem.
If Youtube cared so much about the community, then they wouldn't have let this happen.
Youtube is owned by Google, and Google only cares of one thing.
It is because those big channels reel in so much fricking cash for YT that they get their 'free' studio booking and some perks.
Peanuts compared to what they get from you in return. And besides what you reel in for them,
they really don't care less about anything, which absolutely shows in their customer service, if you can call it that.
They long know about these copyright abuses and simply act like their noses bleed.
If you delve a bit deeper you'll notice that their protocols actually encourage and induce such abuse.
It's like they deliberately opened all doors to creating this mess.
Combined with the 'usual' things Google is involved with, I certainly wouldn't be surprised.
So please don't say YT cares about the community, but try to see the bigger picture beyond the yummy bone they are throwing you...
It's ugly.
It's sad, it's infuriating, it is absurd.

Had exactly the same problem with one of my own productions. Got a claim by Youtube where a music royalty collection agency, called "Audiam", has claimed one of my own productions. Had the same senseless disputes with Youtube like in your case. I got 2 strikes on Youtube. Then i contacted that Audiam company, and they assured me that they even didn't know my production, nor they claimed anything related to that. They promised me to get in contact with Youtube to clear that. A few days later i got a new message from Youtube where they confirmed that this was a mistake of their "song detection system" (WTF???) which scans the database to find identical music for checking it to prevent copyright issues. And they removed the claims and also all strikes were deleted...
It's just a glimpse into the future of failing AI based automated systems. You can be happy that it just triggered something this mundane.

Yeah and the sad thing is that too many people aren't even aware that AI is already a fact.
The algorhythm that underlies Bitcoin f.e. is by some claimed to have been coded 'by' some kind of AI, because it is so immensely complex that only 2 or 3 people on this Earth are gifted enough to have actually coded that, and then still it would have taken decades for them at least, 'and' those few people couldn't actually have done it...so it's been said.
The only way for one to get rid of it now is to turn your back to it all, don't use any of it.
How absurd that may sound, you still have a 'choice'. Yet everyone still chooses wrong

So I would say I agree with you that it may be too late. People love the Matrix, love enslavement. People embrace it.
