Does anyone get any joy out of the Matrix Shuffle Button?
I toggle that thing on and off and I can't tell one blind bit of difference.
Am I missing something? Again?

It operates exactly the same as the ReDrum shuffle button -- it applies whatever the current setting of the Global groove / shuffle is. Check your groove mixer. If that's set to zero (which is, in fact, default) then applying shuffle in Matrix and ReDrum won't do a darn thing -- they are looking at the global shuffle for instruction.

^this!
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!

Not on my rig. Set global groove to max and there is no discernible difference.

There's a patch for 8th note shuffle floating around.

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but our sequencer RE Step Note Recorder supports shuffle in 1/8 and 1/4 as well as the usual 1/16.
What it's missing from Matrix is that it doesn't have patterns (due to us choosing to support per-step automation instead), but the workaround is to connect up to 8 instances of Step to our free Select CV Switch RE.
