Hi folks,
Back with another setup question. I just did more research and found out that I can *conceivably* run current Reason 10 on my aging MacPro 3,1. It's currently running like a champ with zero issues.
I'm considering upgrading the OS from 10.6.8. (snow leopard) to OS 10.11 (El Capitan).
Machine specs are: A1186 Mac Pro 3,1 2.8ghz Quad Core 32gig ram.
Would this be advisable and would it run Reason 10 smoothly? My plan for this machine was to run lower versions of Reason (ver 7) and then send projects to my MacBook that is running current Reason. But, this would cut out the middleman, so to speak.
Thoughts, advice? Thanks in advance!

MacPro 3,1, El Cap ... Reason 10?
I ran Yosemite on a Mac Pro 1,1 for a few years. You should have no issues. I was running Reason 10.
Got El Cap downloaded and installed, then tried to download Reason 10.2. But, the download keeps stopping and then you have to start all over again? What?!?! This is crazy. I'll need to bring my computer to work to download Reason (where the wifi is better)? Wow.

If it's the download of Reason itself that gets stuck you might have better luck with PH's own BitTorrent download? It's definitely more robust in case you have an unreliable Internet connection.kinkujin wrote: ↑14 Jan 2019Got El Cap downloaded and installed, then tried to download Reason 10.2.
