Do you think Liam Howlett owns the latest copy of Reason?
He should really.
Yeah, well, I think that his style of music and reason are a great combo neverthless. As Reason has come a long way since he did an album with Reason, I think he should really get back into it.

Maybe, maybe not. He always used Pro-Tools and Reason was one of his instruments, so if he is still using it I imagine that this would be how he was doing it.

Last I saw from Instagram photos over the past few years he was still mainly using Logic Pro in the studio alongside various bits of hardware. Pretty sure he used one of the preset sounds from Sylenth on one of the tracks on their last album (The Day The My Enemy).

When he praised Reason, it was Reason 4, so think where this program has got since then. VST support + all the REs should do everything he really ever needs. ? He can use hardware and record audio, that was not possible when he created "never outgunned always outnumbered".

It got him back into making music in the studio, and enjoying making music again. I'd say that's a pretty good reason.

He was already killing it with a W30, doesn't matter the tool he uses for us the jilted generation.

That's kinda how it's feeling right now to me at least. They feel so similar & when you clamp them together it's like what the fuck.
Similar workflow, but there are many differences when it comes to features involving notation view & Vst support.
Now, imagine Reason's piano roll with all the piano roll features you asked for.
That is basically what Cubase is.
