Is there a way to select an alternate comp edit lane on a track for a block that is used in song mode? Do I have to duplicate the block and select an alternate comp edit lane to accomplish this?
For example, I loop recorded a simple R&B style rhythm guitar part in a block over about 6 takes. Each loop sounds great and are all just a bit different from each other, but with the same feel. I would like to just use the same block in song mode, (which happens several times throughout the song), and just select alternate takes of that rhythm track. Is it possible? A workaround would be to just copy each take and put it in the song where they go, but that defeats the purpose of blocks, especially, if I want to make a new arrangement. I believe there's only 32 blocks, so I don't want to use them all up for something like this. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can overlay your recording on top of the blocks and pick different parts as you like. You can freely mix blocks and regular arrangement clips:
probably the easiest solution would be to right click on the block in song view, and choose to convert the block to clips. it’ll pull all of the clips from the block directly into song mode and you can manipulate them as you normally would in block mode.
That workaround will get it done. I'll mess around with that. Thank you.
