For those that missed it in June, it's back on sale.

How is the CPU-consumption in Reason? And how long does the sale last?

I've not played with it too much, since I only bought it today. I've run through a few of the presets & I didn't have any problems on my older Mac. Not like using Spire. However, I was only using one synth. So, the CPU could load might go up when multiple instances are used in a track.
As far as how long the sale is, I haven't a clue. You might consider emailing the d16 folks and hopefully thy'll have an answer.
thx for the reply !Quiloc Lim wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018

You are correct sir. It's not for sale on the d16 website. It's on sale on the JJR website. Follow the instructions on the JJR page and you'll be able to buy LuSH101 for $39. It worked for me.

I really love the sound of this synth, especially with some of the third party sound design patches - flames.
My only issue is that pads tend to eat the CPU and reason seems to have issues with the automation flow that works fine in other VSTs.
Clicking on parameters to automate in Lush doesn't do anything, as far as I can tell. You have to do it all manually, etc.

You have to map the parameters to CC's first (in the plugin itself) and then you can automate them.qn5 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2018I really love the sound of this synth, especially with some of the third party sound design patches - flames.

This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit.
Sry, i need to ask...what does this synth offers compared to some other? It is a old reproduction with quite limited waveforms and a lot of synths build up on this and provide more features. So, is it worth? What does it offer? The sound examples are not that great imo.
Reason13, Win10
It's a fricken SH101

Hm...maybe i shoul give it a spin..the examples on the d16 website are so boring that i could directly fall asleep. But again, what does this thing offer that is not already available in hundreds of other synths?

I cannot explain it - but this synth has a fantastic quality: It feels right, it sounds right … its super easy to get a wonderful warm and rich sounding pad (e.g.) which other soft synths often cannot do in this way …
To me Lush is absolutely worth the money, even more so at this price!

Aw man. Sale's over. Never mind. Maybe next time.
Impressed by the demo, takes no time to get lush sounds going and the GUI is very intuitive.

Right, it's a pain in the ass when I'm in the creative flow. Last thing I wanna do is maps CCs.fullforce wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018You have to map the parameters to CC's first (in the plugin itself) and then you can automate them.qn5 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2018I really love the sound of this synth, especially with some of the third party sound design patches - flames.

Most other VSTs in reason, I just click automate and click the parameter and it works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think i skip this one. The synth is not that bad, here and there is a good patch, sound is good. I like the sub oscillator, noise and the filter. But the mod matrix is very limited. I never would pay 170 bucks for this thing - lol. I would pay 40 for it if i did not already had so many synths or if it would have a better mod matrix with more options (man, i am so spoiled with Reason and RE). The clicking sounds when i switch patches is a bit too retro for me, the 30 minute limitations while demoing sucks as donkey (really D16, wtf!?). I payed 40 for Diversion and this thing is way(!!!) better.
So in the end, i ask my self, do i need it? Does it offer something i dont have? Nope...

Agree - I wouldn't pay full price for it. I got it when it was on offer about 8 months ago.
For me it does offer something I don't have elsewhere... the low and sub basses have a purity and musical sound with huge weight that I can't match in other synths. Yes - other synths can do great basses... especially those from Dmitry Sches (Thorn... Diversion etc...) but the Roland SH-101 does it in its own unique sounding way - and I like it a lot. Also - I think because it is such a classic for some reason your brain feels at home with it, because you've heard its sound on 1000's of tracks (including many classics) over the last 35 odd years.
Having said that... I do have a soft spot for Roland gear - I have a Jupiter 80 hardware synth and that is a beast for HUGE and expressive sounds in every department.

How does it compare to Roland's SH-101?
