Do you wish Reason had a fully-fledged “Dark Mode”?

I know we have the options of Black, Blue and the Default themes in Reason, but does anyone else wish they further developed these and made them fully coherent across all devices and the mixer especially?
Maybe Reason 11 might give us more options that are easier on the eyes but can definitely see why Props are focussing on the main things such as performance improvements with VSTs for now.

I agree. I just changed my skin to Blue, and I like it, but, Props should do the rack, mixer and the rest of it matching with it too. Monotonic colors are very solid.

Not at all. I use the white theme, and I like it specifically because it's not dark, flat and dismal like everything else these days.

Think that’s why I said dark mode and not just the black theme. I like the coherency of the default white theme but always used to find it a little heavy on the eyes when working late at night or for long periods.
Would love them to either finish the black/blue themes to cover everything or have an option that creates a darker view of everything much like Apples dark mode where even the devices themselves if they use a light colour is automatically adjusted to a darker variation.
What about an inverted option maybe?

More options is a good thing. Yes.

That ship has sailed now even Mojave itself is dark let alone the basic feature that was supposed to be there since v6. I asked them since version 6 up to 9 and gave up. if your request is not heard for three versions, what is the point? they are doing it intentionally. And now I don't give a @#$%^& if they bring dark mode or not. They will bring it anyway sooner or later.

I'm not sure how you'd do a dark mode for the rack unless it only affected the stock devices. The rack itself is already dark...

Yes Props - something like this. If I can do it, you can do it.

Oh gods yes - I would literally kill for a proper dark theme that included the mixer! We've been asking for this since forever - I really wish they'd finish the job.stephensmattlee wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018I know we have the options of Black, Blue and the Default themes in Reason, but does anyone else wish they further developed these and made them fully coherent across all devices and the mixer especially?
For three versions? It took 6 versions to get audio recording, and over 9 versions for VST support. It's never too late - Props could do this if they took the time to implement it. I'll keep requesting it as long as it's not there!Gulale wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018That ship has sailed now even Mojave itself is dark let alone the basic feature that was supposed to be there since v6. I like it and it really would be a complete theme.
You said in another thread you don't want to see any white anywhere, I wonder about the text and how when it contrasts with the dark background it's becomes close to invisible. What do you want to do with the text? No way Props would release it like that where it's almost illegible, it would need to be white, or illuminated somehow - kind of defeating the dark theme. Any ideas?
This just makes me angry - If it's a dark theme, every bright/white part of the white theme should be dark!Jagwah wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018You said in another thread you don't want to see any white anywhere, I wonder about the text and how when it contrasts with the dark background it's becomes close to invisible. I did a general darkening of every element so every element was darkened equally (sorry I'm not going to waste my time doing a meticulous mockup!) but at the end of my post I did mention the need for legibility tweaks, so yes, I would expect them to make everything dark, but with the important text bits a bit more legible. Reason has a skeuomorphic design, so IMO the dark theme mixer should look dark and realistic.hurricane wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018This just makes me angry - If it's a dark theme, every bright/white part of the white theme should be dark!Jagwah wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018You said in another thread you don't want to see any white anywhere, I wonder about the text and how when it contrasts with the dark background it's becomes close to invisible. Well don't get angry on my behalf, was just curious how you would approach the situation.hurricane wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018This just makes me angry - If it's a dark theme, every bright/white part of the white theme should be dark!Jagwah wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018You said in another thread you don't want to see any white anywhere, I wonder about the text and how when it contrasts with the dark background it's becomes close to invisible. Would look amazing if Props could make the mixer dark and similar to the brainworx one you have above.
I kind of get the feeling that Props didn’t go “all in” visually with the themes because secretly they’ve been working on giving Reason a massive visual overhaul in the near future ;p

Hopefully! I’d love for reason to have a sleek look as well as have a dark mixerstephensmattlee wrote: ↑08 Oct 2018Would look amazing if Props could make the mixer dark and similar to the brainworx one you have above.

Lol not you - this incomplete theme situation makes me angry and the Props' underlying "let's just put out like this, we'll finish it later" philosophy. REASON COMPACT.
I know that feel, and I know it could mean waiting years, possibly even forever, all without the slightest hint as to if it will or will not even happen.
I'm going to look inside the app later tonight and see if the graphics files can be modified - unless anyone has already tried that?

They can't.

Maybe Props should allow us to change every graphic in Reason and let us save/load themes between us users?
