It's 2018 and there must be a way in implement this into phpbb. They shouldn't bump posts, but merely express the opinions of passers-by who don't want to get into the firing line.
Looking at the bigger picture i think it would help the board.

Most likely doable if there is the will to do so.
I think it was a good thing that it was taken away from this board. It makes this place more focused into the actual discussion, when you are not checking all of the likes in every post and replies.

I liked the like function. I've missed it since it was removed.
There's no need to have a thumbs down option but what's wrong with having an easy way of liking someones post?
Now you have to quote someone every time you want to agree with someone and parts of the threads are just people quoting each other, filling up big blocks of texts just to say "I agree".
It all makes for a messier forum. I say bring back the like function.
