Sches Thorn on Sale for $69
Thorn Synth on Sale at Dontcrack http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info ... ts_id=2964
If you look at the magazine that came with the FREE Thorn CM - they included the instructions there to get an extra 30 or 35% off (can't remember the exact % off). And it works on top of any current offer.
Check my Soundcloud:
The fx sound pretty good. I like the filter (comes with a bunch of types, also vowel and pitch shift) and the distortion (was the main reason i bought it). The lofi sounds also pretty good. The flanger is also good, only the delay is a bit boring (its a delay...) and the reverb is not overwhelming. For 30 bucks it is a good deal.

Would you care to elaborate on your $ 30 comment? Thx!Loque wrote: ↑16 Jul 2018The fx sound pretty good. This month's issue of Computer Music Magazine is offering a fully functional FREE version of Thorn. It is a great little VI. The main difference between the free version and the full version is the full version has 3 oscillators vs only 2 in the freebie. However, it also comes with a discount certificate with no expiration to buy the full version for $69. It is one fantastic sounding little VI, easy to program and works nicely in Reason. It also comes AAX for Pro Tools users.
Its actually on Sale. There is also a Cross-Grade option for Tantra owners. Check it out:

Got it in the basket with the code applied €19. Guess VAT is higher here in Sweden. I don’t really need another synth but the sale fever got a hold of me. Just read this synth is super heavy in CPU. Had same problem with Iris 2. So what’s the general opinion. Is this a must have Uber synth it is it just ok?

On my system (MacbookPro 13" 2012, Reason 10.4) it is not super heavy on the CPU. Neither is Iris 2 though.MrFigg wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020Got it in the basket with the code applied €19. I really like the glitch FX part of it and find that pretty special.

I’m thinking Iris 2 might have been heavy as I have my sample rate permanently set at 64 .eusti wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020On my system (MacbookPro 13" 2012, Reason 10.4) it is not super heavy on the CPU. Sorry to labor the point but if I’ve already got a thousand synths does this have anything new to make it one of my go to instruments? Just wondering.

It sounds so smooth...nothing to think about it, just to buy it. It can be easy on CPU and heavy as most synths too. I can easily kill my system with a old Korg RE... It has great patches, great fx, good oscillator fx. You bought more crap for higher prices...MrFigg wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020Got it in the basket with the code applied €19. Ok then. One last question. Better or the same as Parsec. And totally right. I have bought more crap for higher prices. That’s what I’m trying to avoid hahaha :):):).Loque wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020It sounds so smooth...nothing to think about it, just to buy it. It can be easy on CPU and heavy as most synths too. The built-in glitch and arp are excellent. I just wish their settings were not overridden with the main presets. If you get something good happening but want to change the synth sound you have to save out your glitch and arps as separate presets, change the synth preset then load back in the glitch and arp.
That said, it's a decent synth for a great price.

They play in different territories... Thorn has a smooth, warm, analog sound. No buzzwords this time...

The good thing is that there is going to be a sale after this at some point!
