Korg M1

Hi All!
I bought the Korg M1 last night but struggling to get it working in Reason.
Anyone succeeded here?
I'm just tryna find the specifications on the Korg website. No luck so far. Presuming it's a 64 bit VST and VST 2.4 and not VST 3. The website is a bit unclear and awkward to navigate I've found.
I have the desktop one working and the dll file is in the right Reason VST folder but nothing shows up in Reason.
If anyone can help?
Cheers!

For a moment I thought you had brought a M1 as I have a T1.
I do have the VST Korg M1 and wavestation etc. and they work with Reason without any issues (and just loaded them up again as I don't think I have opened them since the 10.1 update OK).
Can you see it under Manage Plugins ?
I have mine in my VST folder under a Korg subfolder...

No, it isn't showing up in the Manage Plug-Ins. Never thought about looking there.Carly(Poohbear) wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018For a moment I thought you had brought a M1 as I have a T1.

Yes, there is a subfolder in my Reason VST folder. A Korg folder with .dll file in there. I have also pasted the dll file into the main Reason VST folder and nothing.

Then this could be the reason, in fact I downloaded the files from:

I wonder if the update is just in the title
either way 1.7 or 1.8 it should work...

I think you miss understood that comment, we were talking about the different versions, I have 1.7 and I don't have the option to update unless more than likely I go to the new website and hence why I'm on 1.7 and zumBeispiel is on 1.8future-bit wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018No, it can not be the reason. I'm using older versions. It works well for me. It is possible that x86 and x64 versions are installed in one folder, and only x86 remains.zumBeispiel wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018Then this could be the reason, in fact I downloaded the files from:

Yes I have and put in the serial code or number I received through an e-mail.
A pair things to check:
- be definitely sure about 32 or 64 bit version:
The right 64bit M1.dll should be somewhere into the "Program Files" VST folder and not into the "Program Files (x86)". If there are M1.dll in both, I suggest to remove/delete the 32 bit version.
And also remove the 32 bit VST folder in the Reason preferences, it only slows the Reason start.
- check if Reason has disabled it due to a crash:
If you had started Reason before authorizing the M1 plugin, then it's high probable it has crashed.
Take a look at the very bottom of the list "Manage Plugin" and see if there has been a crash for the plugin. Most of the times, it doesn't report the name of the manufacturer (Korg), but something like "Unknown" and the crashed .dll name.
If this is the case, just select it, enable it and restart Reason.
Hope it helps.

Yeah done all that. It wasn't it the "Program Files" folder, the (x86) one. I put the Korg folder from the 32 bit folder on the desktop for now. It still isn't working, So how do I find out if the .dll is a 64 bit? I right click it and open the properties and I can't see it saying anything about what bit it is in any of the tabs.zumBeispiel wrote: ↑23 Jun 2018Creativemind wrote: ↑22 Jun 2018

Hi Creativemind,
I do not think you can see the bitres through the file' properties.
What about doing a complete re-install after downloading the right M1 64bit file?
I have two .zip files for M1, the first is the old v1.7.0 which contains both 32 and 64bit installers.
The other .zip file is the v1.8.0 which contains 64bit and aax, but no 32.
Which file did you download from the Korg website?
Do you have more choices?
