Wait...Players can have CV? Slap you PH!
I like the MIDI<->CV converter! Especially due it supports Poly CV (you heard this, PH?). Hum...does that mean, i can now use Scales&Chords and this little handy thing to pull out my chords and spread them all over my rack?

Wow, no idea this was coming but there's some really interesting devices here that expand on the player concept and play to the strength of the reason/rack paradigm... there's even a PolyCV device and a new Zvork RE! Will certainly be trying (and no doubt buying some of) these. I do kind of wish there was an upgrade option for owners of Euclid and Propulsion/Korde etc cause I kind of feel like I'd be buying the same device again. But other than that this is great news.

The shop has a update for the new category:
https://shop.propellerheads.se/browse/? ... ote-player
And its worth mentioning, that the PH drum sequencer is ONLY FREE UNTIL END OF MAY:

Oh...and the PH Drum Sequencer Player has adjustable pre and post offbeats!

That's the price for Drum Sequencer too. I can't speak for anyone else, but I've used these Players for a while and I've gotta say, I use them more often than most instrument and effect REs I have. They've really sped up my workflow and when you start stacking Players and experimenting, a lot of ideas pop out!
I feel that both Drum Sequencer and Kompulsion are doing the same thing except you have way more options and possibilities to deal with Kompulsion than Drum sequencer. At same price people are going to have easy time to choose between both players.
"NOTE: Even though the polyphonic CV standard keeps track of multiple notes, it can still
only transmit a single note state change per audio batch. This means that if you play a
chord, MIDI-CV Converter will introduce a slight delay (~1.5ms at 44.1 kHz sample rate)
for each consecutive note in the chord. (The monophonic CV option has the same delay.)"
There is another device available now. This allows Propulsion, Korde, and PSQ to tap into the Player Stream. Very minimal.

at first blush I'd agree, but I could see lots of people opting for the Drum Sequencer instead due to its ease of use. Kompulsion looks incredible, but seems like it's geared towards those who like to get really tweaky. DS looks like it's catering to people who want good results quickly. either way, they both look sweet, and I look forward to trying both.
Nice!
Uhh...i read this, but my brain couldnt find a meaningful result... Guess i need to start thinking again...

wondering if it opens up the possibility of some creative player that might be able to do live audio to MIDI—that’s the first thing that comes to mind for me.

I am dissapointed that the Drumsequencer has an abysmal remote implementation. I mean i can understand that Kompulsion doesnt have this since it is tons more complex but i would have expected Props to achieve a good implementation on this one. I didnt expect it though because on the other players they neglected that field too but this one cries for buttons to be pressed.
Apart from this and (well and the 16 steps thingy) it is a decent drumsequencer for mouse oriented people.
For the same reason i love euclidian rythm because it supports remote to the max.

what about MIDI channel - is that not possible with players - miss that on the CV-MIDI player as well. When using something like Kontakt ....
But looks great.
In general - I find that some new 3rd players look like classical REs - which I find rather sad. I think the idea of players is that they integrate seemlessly with each other - so a look and feel similar would be nice from a user's perspective.

I noticed there is a VST device that closely resambles Euclidean Rhythms at the sane price minus a dollar.
Euclidean Rhythms obviously has the CV edge. But Kirnu Cream seems fully loaded to the teeth... Euclidean Rhythms will also go yo in price to 60 dollars. Has anyone tried Kirnu Cream?

My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

It doesn't work in Reason, as MIDI Out isn't handled. And it doesn't have Euclidean rhythms, as far as I know (i.e. spread X hits over Y steps); it's more like Kompulsion's Arp, with fewer features.pjeudy wrote: ↑08 May 2018I noticed there is a VST device that closely resambles Euclidean Rhythms at the sane price minus a dollar.

When? Estimate date - this month, next?
Any plan for tracker like player? or midi file remixer/player in the "player" format
