Next week can't come soon enough (if we are to believe it's all getting released by then)! :)

Cool, but note you can't edit one at a time ;) It's all of them open, or none.

Sample loading in Europa :) also the user wavetable can be a spectral filter shape.

The robotic bean player looks awesome. I’ll probably purchase that one when it arrives

Ok, I'm going to be that guy who starts critiquing a blurry camera screenshot. Why did they put the sample loader in the mixer section?

Hopefully it will make sense when we see it in action.

From what I see in that pic, it sits, like all player devices, above the instrument but not in the mixer section.

I think I'm more excited for this update than I was for vst support.

Got some great new candidates for the old ignore list from this thread.

By the way, is anyone curious about the wording of the ad currently sitting on the Props' website (back in rotation again)?

"Emma is picking up cables. But Reason 10 has arrived!"

Now, I've always interpreted this to mean that we are getting MIDI routing/cables in Reason 10.x upgrade cycle.

Does anyone have a different interpretation?
That has honestly been bugging the crap out of me. I hate that ad. I liked the mystical symbolism in the initial ad but it apparently didn't mean anything and the Emma picking up cables thing makes no sense at all and pertains to nothing. Yarr!

I wasn't sure if I was missing something, so I loaded Reason and I don't see what's different in the screenshot vs Europa. Am I dumb? Where's the sample import?

EDIT: confirmed dumb. I see it now.

If it's true that we're getting 3rd-party of REs soon, then I can't wait to part with my money!

This is such a brilliant way of re-vitalizing the Props Store (I know there are still REs coming out in past half year, but I can imagine this will really bring a whole new slew of exciting stuff to the Props Store)

Really cool! It is interesting, however, that it was seemingly easier (or at least preferable) to open up the player SDK than to give REs the same capability as ReDrum, Matrix, and other stock devices with pattern to track devices. I'd love to know the reasoning behind this, just out of technical curiosity more than anything. My guess is that those devices are basically "legacy" devices from a time when integrating that kind of behaviour into a device meant actually writing new application code? Either way really looking forward to having some new toys to play with and also seeing what other tweaks and adjustments have made it into 10.1 (I assume!).

This was discussed last year, and the conclusion was a studio inside joke based on a Internet video (that never really went viral) based on "Bob is out for coffee" (some dude in the studio was recorded having coffee for the very first time). Ryan has more info on it, though I don't know if he'll chime in. I'm sure he's pretty busy right now. :)

SAME. Well, better MIDI tools, but yeah.

Does anyone remember the vague post Props made a year or three ago that showed them at lunch break with possibly (IIRC) a scribbled on napkin and there were some fries and ketchup in the picture with the caption being something like "At propellerhead HQ lunchbreaks quickly turn into discussions on audio editing" or some such thing. That memory has been haunting me... I really don't use comp mode. At all.

But still, I'm excited about the updates. I just hope they focus on core workflow/tools sooner than later.

This is all well and good - we all like bright shiny new devices - but the real question is will I be able to run 7 instances of Serum, or load a 24-track recording project with inserts on all channels, or setup a couple of Waves Abbey Road Plates send effects, without Reason collapsing? Have their been any improvements under the hood?

So there are complaints when Propellerhead releases their own REs, and when they develop the SDK for third-party devs creating their own REs.

I'm eagerly anticipating that as well. Last I heard, it's still being worked on. I'm not surprised, it's probably a major undertaking. Sincerely hoping it's sooner rather than later, but we'd probably have heard about it already if it was coming in this next update.
