With that golden month just around the corner, I wanted to ignite the ol' GAS in all of us that never quite goes away. I'm very curious to hear what your most useful RE's are and why/how. Not to be mistaken for your top 5, favorite, spiffiest, coolest or most wanted RE's. What RE's do you almost always use and in what capacity (composing, mixing, mastering, etc.)?

Little LFO and Shape for LFO needs

RE2A and Softube FET for compression

EVE-MP5 and Synapse GEQ for EQ

Kratos 2 mazimizer

Selig Gain

Etch Red, PMS 20 and Runciter for filtering

Synapse DR-1 for reverb

Decimort 2 for grit

... they're the REs that make it into pretty well every project for me

RE-2A if anything needs to be sidechained, or on piano (not sure why this is my piano go-to, but it is)
Decimort 2 to break things or at least rough them up.
Audiomatic for interesting colour.
The Echo for the mf'n HAAS effect, and also for that tape wobble.
Creme/Vermillion for guitars.

None of these get me super jazzed up when I think about them, but they are endlessly useful.

In my opinion, Uhbik-F has the best sounding chorus of all REs - and yes I've tried them all! My most used RE no doubt (all the uhbiks are, actually).

Softube FET - one of my favorite compressors, esp for drums
Selig Gain - always useful
Kuassa Eve MP5 - beautiful-sounding Pultec-style EQ
Selig De-Esser - simply excellent
Quadelectra Stereo Splitter - on the master bus for some stereo widening
Flower Audio Loudness Meter - to measure total dynamic range
wreaking havoc with :reason: since 2.5

I remember having a strange OCD-like obsession with finding the "best" sounding RE chorus, and so I tried practically all of them, and I just remember after plugging in Uhbik-F the "oooh, yeah this is it" moment ended my search.

Uhbik-F isn't a dedicated chorus module, so Chenille has more parameters to mess with if that's what you like. I pretty much use one modified preset on F and I'm done. Makes the DX factory E. Piano 1 patch shine like no other though!

korde, volt sl1 & frame

but proper respect to the RE's that got me there cv8x4, cv tuner, euclid and select, cv suite line processor, slider pitch surface and distributor

this is all for composing i dont have much headspace for sound mastering i just fake it if i can

Re2a
Frg4 compressor
Quadelectra stereo splitter
Echobode
Saturation knob
Decimort2
Gclip
Kuassa mp5
Kuassa Kratos
Khs stereo
RE3Q

All of these make it to every track, between mixing and mastering.

Fat Space is my favorite RE verb, great room reverb. I'm a big fan of RV7000mkii and all my other verbs (including dr1) collect dust.

I wondered myself. Forgot about May Madness.

Ozone Maximizer - Part of my default template.
Echobode - Swiss Army knife of crazy, useful, & fun madness.
Jiggery Pokery Super Spiders - Essential utilities.
Flower Audio Loudness Meter - Handy loudness monitor. Permanently in rack.
LoveOne BZR-1 - Go to RE for quick, crazy modulation source.
Chronologists Randrome - Random CV / Audio processor.
Pepin Hazan RVL-1 - Very handy utility for analyzing CV signals.
Selig Audio ReMark - Label everything! Bloody handy. And it's free!
Ochen K CV Tuner - Infinitelly useful in my modular experiments.
RoboticBean Euclid - Really good fun this one. Another modular favorite.
Lectric Panda Shape - Very powerful & useful CV generator.
RoboticBean MT-1 - Goodbye Reason's infuriating click! (has it changed since Reason 1.0?).
Speo Frame CV - Really handy little RE & very simple & straightforward.
Zvork Volt SL-1 - central hub for parameter control. Very handy. Permanently in rack linked to MIDI controller.
RoboticBean TM-1 - Essential for controlling my hardware drum machine from the rack. Awesome.

...... plenty more I missed I'm sure.
