I have a suggestion
Hello dear fellow Reasoners!
I would like to suggest a small idea, that I think would be bananas for us Reasoners.
How about if, we'd start to highlight one Reason device every second week and have a thread about it.
I think that Reason stocks and REs only at this point. Anyway, we should go though one device every second week and learn as much as we can about it, kind of like what James Bernard did in the past, but by ReasonTalk members this time. Tutorials, Reason templates, plain texts etc. would all do. Then every time we'd make patches for em too and create a Refill. I have many REs that I'd like to learn betterly and propably lots of you as well.
If some of you would like to run this thing, then let me know.

Ok, I can host these myself - I think this should get it's own sub-forum over article section though.

I think it’s a good idea mate. Even now, 10 versions in there are new things to learn about old devices. Never take em for granted!
Great idea! With the way Reason is built - use Pulveriser as envelope follower, use Vocoder for EQ, use Pulsar as monosynth, etc. - this might get very useful
Hey, this is still a very good idea! I suggest making a character for each device we want to talk about, load them into Combat Manager or a similar rpg tool, have them all fight and then do a thing for every device in the order they die. The one that wins will forever be the best device in reason.

Can't wait for the discussion about the Rebirth Input Machine.
@pushedbutton on twitter, add me, send me a message, but don't try to sell me stuff cos I'm skint.
Using Reason since version 3 and still never finished a song.

"This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit."
We have already done it. Combinator won. When his shell was destroyed and everyone thought the fight was over, he still had enough devices to win the fight.Adabler wrote: ↑14 Feb 2018Hey, this is still a very good idea! Ha! But the character on the left is not immediately recognizable as a reason device. That is very suspicious! We should consider do this over and in accordance with Pathfinder rules which btw. clearly states that the combinator cannot summon other devices during a fight.

I second this.chimp_spanner wrote: ↑29 Jan 2018I think it’s a good idea mate. Even now, 10 versions in there are new things to learn about old devices. Never take em for granted!
I'm up for sharing combi synth/efx patches but i've really not got the time for videos or written stuff.
Gimme a shout if you need anything.

Any plans when this begins? I would love to discuss about all the devices we all used for so long now ^^
Spin the wheel of fortune for our first device, and don't let it be a Spider Merger Splitter ;P

I got an oppurtunity in music business too so...
C'mon someone else wanna do this? I'd do it somehow like this:
The title:
Under The RT Focus: "Thor"
Then I'd take screenshots from both, front and back and post em to the top of the thread.
I'd maybe include a short introducing text below the pics then.
And finally ask few questions to make the show begin i.e. "What are you using it for" "How much yu like it"
etc. Then I'd collect the patches for it, (Maybe everyone could make at least few for it) and when two weeks has passed, you'd create a ReFill. ANY TAKERS?
Greetings to my fellow music-makers.deepndark wrote: ↑29 Jan 2018Hello dear fellow Reasoners!

Before starting something completely new (which takes an awesome amount of time and effort), you might want to know about other specialist support on the net. My favourite is Reason Experts run by Hydlide, and I'm dropping you a link to just one of his tutorial sessions - this one on THOR. Just about guaranteed that the vast majority of us can learn something from this site. PS I have no vested interest other than believing that Hydlide's knowledge on Reason is awesome.
