Is anyone using Softube Modular in Reason ? I have 9.5 and Modular is suffering from all sorts of problems but mainly : a lagging and sticky GUI (knobs don't turn right away) , New modules added to rack suffer long loading time ( adding modules is instantaneous when ran in different vst host) , and Poor cpu performance ( greater cpu usage than when loaded in different vst host). the sticky knobs and long loading times makes Modular pretty much unusable in Reason.
too bad this is pretty much the best sounding (analog modeling) soft synth I have ever used, and i have used a LOT. I'm bummed.
Softube Modular
So you too are having the same problems with Softube Modular in Reason? I was wondering if it was just my setup. I have Bitwig 8track and Modular works like a dream , it is so smooth. But in Reason it’s really unusable.
The same overhere,. i can put a minimal set up. just a vco vca vcf and lfo,. after that it gets weary.
i heve got a 2012 macmini with 16GB and 2.3ghz. Overal Reason is very demanding. I think it has to do with al lthe visual stuff already going on in Reason.
Ahoi.

All fine here on a 5960x, it takes a while to load the 1st instance but i've got 3 heavy presets running with sequencers and buchla etc. and i can keep on adding instances.
It was fine with 9.5 and its fine with 10 as well.
MSI x99a SLI Plus, 2 sticks of 16Gb DDR4 running at 2400Mhz, 5960x running at 3.7Ghz with a GT710 gfx card on Propellerhead Balance - runs fine on a motu 424/2408mk3 as well.
