hey,

is there a way to copy patterns to midi-track like in matrix or redrum? So, to do the same kind of "get out of the rack to midi sequencer " procedure like before, just with vst plugins?

If not, is there a way at all to do it in simiar/other ways?

greets joeiy

There is definitely no direct way to do it as this feature hasn't even been added to Rack Extensions yet.

There is a workaround that people have mentioned before for Rack Extensions which involves players and combinators. See if you can find this, it has been mentioned on the forum before or maybe somebody will link it.

For the VST. If it's just a gate signal you want (i.e. for triggering drums or whatever), you could potentially send the drum audio out to Thor and activate a gate every time and audio signal enters Thor and then use the Thor gate in the way I mentioned above.

If you need Note info too then I have no idea. I don't have Reason 9 by the way, otherwise I'd have a try.

The only solution, I can recall is this

There's a paid RE required though.
:?: The question is - Who cares :?:

I don't think the paid RE is required, unless I misunderstood. I think this is just an example RE which can be used with the combinator and player to send notes to track. But as VSTs don't have CV OUT and only CV IN (I assume) then this will not be possible regardless.

However this was the method I had in mind, thanks.

Oh, you're right. There's no RE required. Stupid me  :puf_bigsmile:
Thanks for pointing me out to this.

No problem.

Also 'Thanks for pointing this out to me' sounds better

Sorry if that's rude, it's a habit. Dating a swiss girl and she does the same sort of thing sometimes and always ask me to let her know. hehe. However both of you have 100 times better English than my German welcher ist nicht sehr gut. Deutsch ist schwer, aber Ich spreche es manchmal nicht so slecht denn Ich lerne jetzt für zehn oder zwölf wochen.
