Rate Reason 9.5
It's a big ten from me, I'm so impressed how well vsts work.
Reason has always been my weapon of choice! I give 9.5, 9.5! As VST's are something reason has always needed and to be fair they have incorporated the feature very well! But still some room for slight improvements ready for v10 [emoji3]

I'm giving it a 9, because there are still features I wish Props would integrate (like the very simple freeze tracks option you have in Logic).
But the VST integration is just fantastic.

It's a great update. I really like that they've done VST their way, that they have (finally) listened to their customers, and that they delivered this in a point release. Very smart approach.
But the fact they delivered this in a point release, must mean they have something compelling in store for us for Reason 10 (whenever that will be). They will not want people staying on R9.
Interesting times!

I give it an 8, because there's a whole class of VST instrument plugins (drum plugins: BFD, EZ Drummer, Studio Drummer) whose core drag-and-drop functionality doesn't really work with Reason's sequencer (it creates an ID8 track and changes your project's tempo to that of the MIDI clip). I would give it a lower score, but the workaround is only 2-3 clicks each time you need to drag-and-drop a MIDI clip, so it's not really that serious. This seems like a problem that would hopefully be fixed in a free point update.

I have not seen this, is it with all of your VST's ?michal22 wrote:I unfortunately have problems. For example, when I close the VST window, Reason is minimized. I hope there will be improvements in the future, so I give 7 an incentive.
Mac or PC?
Seems pretty awesome. I need a new computer, though.

The value of Reason has more than tripled for me with this one free point upgrade. It has been too much of a practical pain for me to use my $250 Amplitube software and my $400 Reaktor software in songs until now. And Delay Compensation is simply excellent. How can I give it a 25 out of 10 rating?
I gave it an 8. Many VSTs/VSTIs don't work as expected (all free ones so far). The knobs in GVST/Melda plugins are almost impossible to control -- it's as if when I hold down a click, the vst gets a trigger of a de-click, so to speak, as soon as I move the mouse. So far it's not been possible to work with the rotating knobs.

Without VST support, a 5, with vsts, a 10.

I tested both plugin providers on beta they were working great and I have checked them agin and they work. May be it is a windows problem? Report itravisoni wrote:I gave it an 8. only a 5 sorry if I was happy with anything there would be nothing to complain about!
VST's I'm still think I'm dreaming. But is it a great update? not really all the other things that should be upgraded first is a long ass list It's not that special having vst in there when all the other stuff still sucks. For instance the sequencer could be overhauled and the countless other suggestions from the community here have not been implemented. Granted the community has wanted VST's for a long time but when the hype for vst's is over you're still left with all the other non features. How many feature suggestion threads have you all seen that would be really worth while been implemented. Trust me having VST in reason is just a distraction!

It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!

I'm sorry for the late reply, but I have not much time lately.
This problem is with the Izotope Neutron plugin. When I close the plugin window, Reason minimizes. Not always, but usually. My system is windows 10. The second problem is the lack of support for the input of another channel for the sidechain. Perhaps it is just a lack of skills, but I think there is something wrong.
