It's good. I beta tested it and made presets for its factory. It's 8 Oscillator set is a bit of an over kill though but it can do a lot. The main thing I like is that it has a spectrum filter which is an additive kind of thing. It does Samples and wavetables (128 cycles not 256 like Serum, Expanse, Falcon, Icarus)

I also am a new vst user are there any features that make this a must have over serum? I have my eyes on serum when the release comes out but this one seems awesome as well, ik their other instrument (the sampler one that I can't remember the name of) is very popular so going by that id assume its worth trying, is there multiple modifiers per osc?

I have Avenger and Serum. I think Avenger has a lot more features: It seems like the developers just wanted to give you a studio synth that covers ALL the bases. And it does a pretty great job covering the bases.

But to my ears, I like the Serum sound better (it sounds bright to me, in a pleasing way). And, I gotta say the 3D view of the wavetable as it's being scanned is the greatest UX you will ever see in any VST. :)

Both of them are totally different and Serum has a cleaner sound in my opinion. They both compliment each other vastly.

Avenger has multisampling, a powerful arpeggiator with some complex stuff. Spectrum filter, A powerful modular set up similar to Zebra 2. It has a resynthesis option too.

Serum sounds better has 256 cycles in a wavetable, has an easy to use interface, Has that Serum sound that heavy weights like Illenium, Nightmare, Dabin, 7 Skies and most EDM artists have.

Serum is 189.99

Avenger is 219.99

They both are awesome and compliment one another in a mix.

Avenger has 8 fully functional oscillators and a drum machine as well.

Serums wavetable synthesis is leagues better then Avenger's but don't let that fooll you. It's a good instrument!

Sounds like me time I should pick both up :) haha I'm getting serum first because Steve gave me a student discount link which was awesome of him, so I saw some video with Steve Duda talking about serum and how it has a sample import option that uses an FFT function which essentially re-synthesizes a sound using the harmonic series have you tried it out?? Basically wondering how well it can resynthesize sounds
