Thanks for the Headset up, Loque
The question is - Who cares
Info is on each product page, mostly minor changes to the back panel designdioxide wrote:Anyone know what changed?
"More intuitive routing" for the Splitter is very welcome
Ah thanks. I was looking at the bottom of the page rather than the top.dvdrtldg wrote:Info is on each product page, mostly minor changes to the back panel designdioxide wrote:Anyone know what changed?

I love that these devices have stereo CV ins. As does Lectric Panda's Fritz, it's a great feature

Hey guys, here's the full list of changes:
IMPROVEMENTS:
- Redesigned Splitter 2.0 for much more intuitive routing
- Sexier interfaces
- New Ensemble mode on Chorus
- New drive knob on Filter (complete with envelope and CV modulation)
- Bandwidth on Filter now has stereo CV modulation functionality
BUG FIXES:
- Improved CV control for all parameters (dry/wet and volume controls no longer have harsh, digital distortion)
- Improved control smoothing, eliminating the mild artefacts that could sometimes occur
- Frequency on Filter no longer jumps (if frequency knob had been moved while silent) when going from silent to running
- Resonance on Filter no longer gets capped at around 98% (approx.) of its maximum possible value
- Delay Time on Chorus no longer jumps (if time knob had been moved while silent) when going from silent to running
- Delay Time on S-Delay no longer jumps (if time knob had been moved while silent) when going from silent to running
- Better LFO response on Phaser (square or saw LFO + extreme settings no longer cause nasty distortion)
Also, Filter is now purple.
Enjoy!
Dom

Nice updates!AirRaidAudio wrote: Text.
So I saw your tweets. I assume we have a tape delay/emulation incoming. Very exiting indeed! I hope it's not "just" a delay but something like Satin, we have yet to see that in Reason as far as I know.

I'm so glad you fixed the time-warping Delay & Chorus. These units deserve to work better. Happy to try them again tomorrow.
You can actually hear the time-warping error on a few of my tracks. I decided that it was part of what was happening in the performance and left it (that or I was too lazy to replace with The Echo). Either way, it is an error that will stay printed in history.
BTW I also got so used to it happening I deliberately made the same effect in a more recent track (only using The Echo so I was in control).

So it was a bug... but also a feature... but still a bug...
Anyway, I'm glad it's been fixed so the device now works as intended.

Is it normal that Distort is about 3 dB quieter than its previous version with default settings? I haven't carefully compared all algorithms yet, but the default output level seems to have changed for some of them.

These sound great. I don't recall the Filter sounding this good. Now I need to know what the diff between the old Filter and the new one is.
Here's a Combi with Filter>Phaser>Chorus>Delay to make just about any synth sound gorgeous.

Won't be there forever go grab sooner rather than later.
forgot to mention that the Mod Wheel controls Filter Mod Depth. 127=0% LFO Mod

This has been fixed. The updated version has been submitted and should be approved soon.odarmonix wrote:Is it normal that Distort is about 3 dB quieter than its previous version with default settings? Hi,EdGrip wrote:Hello dear kind lovely AirRaid who supply free Splitter RE!
Please could you tell me if I can use Splitter as a mid/side splitter/merger? If so, how? I can't see it in the manual.
Thanks!
- Ed
Not really. While you could achieve an effective M/S splitter effect, it'd require 2 instances of Splitter and a bit of patching. After that, any 2->1 mixing device would be able merge the the mid and side signals back together again. So... if you want to hook up a couple of Spider merger/splitters along with a couple of Elements Splitters, then sure, but this seems a little complicated.
Aren't there any other freebie utilities out there that can do this more simply?
