Weird. Via Chrome on my laptop it shows "One thought on..." with one comment.
I've never visited the page prior and I even reset my browser—same thing.

But once I saw you post an image from mobile, I decided to check from my phone.
I see it all there now...and reading now...

Well, seems like all the comments are in regards to the GUI being a 'knock-off' of OP-1 and being deceptive by having a GUI inspired by hardware it doesn't seek to emulate. At least all those commenters don't seem to be Reason users anyways. Not many (or any) comments on the sound and not much bashing can be made over the price...

Fine here ............ I was going to ask what your system specs were but this doesn't seem to have much bearing on how RE's perform across individual systems. Sometimes people with mammoth machines still report performance issues. No rhyme or reason (excuse the pun). For what it's worth I'm on a rather modest (by today's standards I expect) i5 3.0Ghz with 8GB RAM. Runs fine with multiple instances, although it gets loud quick! Will try & stress test & see if I can break my machine with Driver ;)

Yeah, I'm not sure if many of the patches were meant to be played as monosynths (as there does not appear to be a monophonic mode)? And many of the patches, when playing two or more notes will cause clipping of audio. And I have an issue with DSP as well; it spikes with a few more notes with one instance of Driver.

But as far as audio levels...where is Selig to discuss the -12dB standard? :)

I'll pass until the CPU thing is addressed. I have a mutha as a computer, but I don't want to even demo something that is too hungry by more than one count.

Ochen K himself quoted another source as inspiration for Drivers GUI, he even included pics. I think the similar looks between Driver and OP1 aren't deliberately done and I guess Ochen is bummed by the similarities as well.

Actually, the original design inspiration came from ETC lightboards. Here's the first pic I took of a board that I thought might make an interesting interface:

Yes, right now, velocity doesn't map to anything. I originally had it scale the volume of each voice, but I didn't like the results so I took it out. Maybe the user should be able to select what parameter it maps to/scales? That might be interesting.

I will certainly adopt it: a little trouble finding the envelope settings !
We must look into the different curves _

This is a specialist. But it is good at what it does. I think with some work you can do every sound also within a Combinator, but no one would do that. And the result would also ultimately be different. It's a little hard to program, because you first have to be incorporated into this very own systematics. But you get nice risers and Basses out of this. So for me this is a buy.

Would be nice if this Device would have more Patches and as others wrote before they would be better nicely stored in folders.
I don't see the CPU Problem like I mostly do. If doing some task that is heavy on CPU it is always a good Idea to make this Audio after you have done it. So you can store much more inside your Song. And for risers and things like this is that even mostly the way I go.

I was another of the immediate buys. And I came here half expecting that someone (whoopdee, we need you) was going to start a community patch refill.

I have made a Combi for this. It makes some different use out of this Device. It is some of a fake flanged Guitar Solo Player. It should be played fast on the Keys to get the right strange result out of it . You will need Reason 8.2 with stock devices.

Download with the Link (Update):

Why 8.2? New amps?

Yes, done with Softtube. But the advanced user can change this. It is not really needed if someone only wants to check the concept. Stripped down it works also without any Guitar Amp.
