How can you give a "like" to someone and have your "notifications" go down by one? :lol:

Same with quoting someone, it's not a contest, but it seems terribly bizarre.

Notifications are to notify you of things you haven't seen. Going into the thread where there is the post of which you're being notified about, removes that particular notification.
