Yes they know, I did a big bunch of images for them last summer. And I sent this today to them.

Up on this page, Skullture asked :) I use 3dsmax

Anyway Eusti & Pinkbox, please be a bit more specific, what are angled knobs?
Here's an attempt to explain it better in a pic... To try with words: When the knobs (or any shape) goes from one axis to the other (basically the material makes a 90 degree angle) there is (in the real world) hardly ever a sharp 90 degree angle there... The material has a certain thickness and usually for the user's sake the angles have been rounded off...

Looking great. Just noticed one thing, the rotary controls of the Phase Mod Osc are off. On Thor they are the same type as the Analog Osc but in your renderings they are the same as the controls on the rest of the oscillators.

Seems you are correct. I will change the knobs.

And make them smoother :)

I noticed another thing, the last three wave shapes on the multi-osc don't match up with those on thor. For the rest they look amazing.

Sign up for the SDK man...Learn the 3d software and make some elements free/paid.

I would buy those units individually for the right price!
My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

this is looking very good, did you try to do the bump map for the text positive instead of negative? The bump of the faceplate is a bit too much for me. And there is a strange light effect (or something I can't quite understand) where the knobs find the the faceplate.
The anisotropic metal of the knobs is a bit dark too what from my perspective it gave it a more plastic feeling.
Don't want to be an ass just trying to do constructive critizism.

Answers to tt_lab:
-the texts and everything are splines, not textures yet.
-the part where the knob finds the faceplate; the knob-model has an outer line or something. I think I will take it away, it confuses me too..
-anisotropic is just a texture, nothing else yet.

It is good to get critizism and notify me if there is something weird / wrong. I´ll fix and the model will come better.

Super nice job Nirude!

As for the knobs...at the moment they look like they are part of the front panel and not separate objects...and the highlight effect make them look like they are extruded without any gap.
Maybe it is just enough to push them out a little bit...and with GI or occlusion shadow they will look more natural.

Nice skin as well? Could you clarify this a bit..
These renders are straight out from 3dsmax, no PS yet. I´ll add the AO when everything is done.

About the units. I :re: made them. They are all different now, for example the Analog Filter is kinda like, faceplate and a circuit-board.
Kinda like an eurorack-modular-unit. I also wanted to make the Formant Filter look like an etch a sketch-device.
Etc etc. Pics coming some day, I assume I will be very busy with our house for the next coming weeks.

Really great!
But one improvement I can see is the knobs depth: they are too "flat", they should stick out more. They look as if they can't be hold, no room for the fingers to hold.

Well yes, I was thinking if I would change the green in to army camouflage :)
And change some other stuff too.
I think this will change from the regular Thor into a :re:vamped Thor
