Weird Asio4all EQ issue

Hi all,
When running Reason on my laptop I have to use Asio4all to improve audio stability, and it works to that effect. However it seems to add a terrible eq curve to my audio. The low mids are getting boosted somehow, rendering all audio 'boxy' and painful to listen to and I don't know how to fix it. Weirdly, it's happened before on my old laptop (Samsung Series 3 w/ Realtek HD Audio) and my current laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L50 w/ Connexant HD audio.

Has anyone else encountered this change in audio quality, and did you ever get it fixed?
