Had a windows update last night. Now I can't run reason due to Ignition key not functioning. Props point to anti-virus software as the culprit here but I have my doubts. Anybody else having problems with this?

Do you only have doubts or did you try disabling the anti virus software?

They mention some off-brand anti-virus that I do not use. I'll go ahead and disable my anti-virus to check.

it worked after disabling my anti-virus but also worked after re-enabling anti-virus so I'm confused.

Maybe the background process was able to start when the antivirus was off and when the antivirus was turned on it couldn't stop the process. See what happens after a reboot.

Yes, after a re-boot Reason goes back to having an ignition key failure. Strange. must be an issue with AV update (I'm using ESET Nod32)

re-checked by disabling AV and Reason works. after disabling then re-enabling AV software.

So its like I said, the AV keeps the process from starting.
