Well many of us paid full price for them. So, on the bright side, at least you got them at 50% off  :)

It is an amazing deal either way. I am big on customer service and from a customer standpoint I feel that the props dropped the ball. The $38 dollars is not a deal breaker. Just disappointed that this was not even considered.
It's just the nature of sales. They could accommodate the people that purchased one day ago and the people who purchased two days ago would have something to say about it. They could say 30 days and the people who bought 31 days ago would have something to say about it. There's no easy way about it.

I would just take the time to figure out what you save with the rest of the bundle accounting for the price you've already paid for the Selig stuff and figure if those other REs are worth that price.

I totally understand that position but my only thought is with the sale of any product if the product has not been opened (downloaded in the digital world) I should be able to return/exchange it within reason.Example I go into a Guitar Center or wherever and buying a copy of Native Instruments Kontact or whatever other software getting home and seeing that the Komplete Bundle or whatever other bundle is on sale I have the ability to take my sealed/unopened copy of Kontact or whatever to the store and purchase whatever I see fit. If I have already opened/downloaded the software it is mine.

ahhh yeah I have the same complaints as everyone else. I wouldn't mind very much, but JUST last week I indulged in the Selig sale and got the Leveler, De-esser and Gain for $73. which by itself is an AMAZING deal. but now, so soon, i could have paid a little more than double that to get those and WAY more? it's just evil! that was so recent!

Gotcha. Can they see if you have or have not downloaded?

To expand on this idea, I just posted this to the Propellerhead facebook page:

Just select which REs are eligible for the bundle and assign each RE a tier. And then say something like... You can get x number of REs at Tier 1, or x number of REs at Tier 2, etc or any equivalent combination. The total would still be $199. Going over that would begin your second bundle for an addition minimum of $199. Seems feasible and is an excellent idea ;)

They said that my request to apply my purchased amount to the bundle or cancel the order was not possible. I would post their response but they have a disclaimer that prohibits this appended to the end of their email. I am ok with it because I feel that a great developer (Selig) is getting a bigger percentage than I can see possible in a bundle of this type.

I don't see how they could not have access to this type of data with the tight license verification that is in place with RE.

I really like this idea. This way developers that want to participate in the bundle deals can set tiers for their products which will probably increase revenue for some of the smaller developers.

I think it would just be something set by Propellerhead. They're the ones who put all these bundles together for $199, and clearly not all of these REs are equal in regular price. So the tiers almost exist naturally. This idea would be mostly for breaking up the current rig bundles already in the shop...

I would love to see a complete my bundle feature added to the prop shop... now more than ever.  I can't justify any of these bundles, as I already own too many pieces.... bummer!  But this is a fantastic deal (really amazing deal) for new users.  I wonder why they are offering such a great deal and how they are paying the Devs their share, at such low prices.

I already have 10 of the Backline, and 9 of the Outboard. Synthetic is not interesting.
For any new user without any RE:s, I would say Backline seems to be the first priority.
The winners are the new ppl on the ship. On the bright side, I do not have to rush to the shop. My guess is that soon enough, most REs will be included in Reason as a monthly rent at different stages (Beginner, Artist, Producer).

For newcomers, these deals and the Refill booster, are like christmas.
We all love to feel that we get a lot of candy for the cash.

I am still waiting for something that might also brighten the ppl who
are left out from these deals because they already own many of them.

The lesson learnt with Reason:
* Do not buy anything at full price.
* Be very patient...
* Do not even "Try" the REs in advance.
* Skip some Reason upgrades, wait for the right deal.

Very tempted by the Backline as the only item I currently own is the DC overdrive. Still, I really wasn't looking to spend that sort of money at the moment....hmm...what to do lol.

My wallet hurts. Not because I'll be spending on these, but because these would have saved me hundreds of dollars. I'm trying to weigh my annoyance at ever having paid full price for any REs versus being happy for others.

MUST BE HAPPY!!!

(I seriously feel like I'm being brutally conditioned not to spend except on Bundles. I can't be the only one. Must be a worthwhile trade off for those drawn in by such amazing deals...)

Got the Backline bundle. So, cool. Finally got all the pieces I need to create the basics of a track using nothing outside of Reason. Next month...handheld percussion.

It never ends -___-

Wow. I just purchased all the Selig stuff less than 12 hours ago, and now this. I didn't even download yet. I would have purchased the whole outboard pack too. :frown:

OUtboard rig = 16 REs for 12.44USD each.  That's crazy cheap!  Dyna-mite, ALONE, is priced at $149!

I can understand that one. I bought De-Esser at full price in pure
support. I don`t do vocals ;) I still wish there was some discount
or point system for us who have spent many thousands of dollars
on RE`s... As said, I have all but 3 of the RE`s in the bundles.

Cheers :)

Some would call capitalism immoral. I'm not trying to start that discussion, but I'll certainly say it is amoral, i.e. not related to morality for better or worse.

So I'm thinking that the wink is an adequate response to that despicable "c" word.

I think the biggest question is whether a "complete my bundle" option would actually be more profitable for them. From the sounds of this thread, I would assume that the answer is yes, because the most common response has been "great deal, but i own some/most of these already". the only other issue is, there are plenty of other people who own parts of the bundle but just buy the bundle anyways, and maybe this extra money makes up for the lost sales.

I dunno, it's complicated, and I'm sure they have financial people who have analyzed this! but the "complete my bundle" option would definitely do better for customer satisfaction, which is the area that PH has been the most lacking in!

I can understand why it sucks, but I think we've all been there. Bought something...on sale the following day/week/whatever. In general I've found it next to impossible to return digital goods. The only exception being App store purchases which, surprisingly, are quite easy to get your money back on. I think PH *could* do their users a solid and sort this out but they wouldn't be doing anything out of the ordinary if they didn't, sad as it is to say.

To be honest I think some kind of heads up would've been good. Like maybe a month ago let users know that there's some big news related to the Rack shop. I think that'd probably have been enough to convince people to cool their jets and wait.

This thread, rather this whole forum, consists of about 1000 people who are hardcore Reason users but (largely) consider themselves to be a representative average of all Reason users which is BS ;)

it is still sad that you can't get a refund within 14 days. As much as I'm excited about the super savers, I'm also sad, since they make no sense to me in this form - I invested already too much and can't use duplicate licences :-)

I supported REs a lot already and wish there would be some loyalty program (or complete your bundle, build your bundle etc.)

They wouldn't do a complete my bundle for this. I don't think that's what a complete my bundle would be for... That's more for business between you and the developer who arranged their own bundle.

Propellerhead wants people to pay the $199. $199 is the magic number! Which is why for this, it would be more feasible to have a 'build my own bundle' using the REs available in these bundles via a tiered system for the price of $199.
