Thanks for checking it out. "Last Alternative" also does a lot of rock with Reason.

Whoa! This is great Matt. Great sound and processing, so much to listen to and admire. Had me thinking of ACDC in parts and the drums kind of had an 80s feel. I really liked it, really good!

Thank you Zac. I appreciate your comments on SC. I meant to include you in the previous comment, but wasn't sure if you were Zac or Tincture on this forum. Now I know.

Hi Mr Man II

Chunky. Vocals are odd in that Justin Hawkins sort of way. Sadly I am finding them a bit hard to hear/understand.

Keep at this tho as there is something special in here that needs to come out more then you could be a college radio star.

Thanks Benedict. I'll check out Justin Hawkins. Here's the lyrics:

You bring me up and you take me down
Can’t keep from another round
When the well is an empty cup
I’m on the floor and I can’t get up

I’m Not defeated I’m only bleeding
I ain’t defeated I’m only pleading

Now it’s gone I know I really need it
Fall in love and tell you that I mean it
One times to many I agree yea
When in love you know you can’t leave it

chorus

Now you’ve got got watcha needed
Turn around and tell me that you’re leaving
One time you told me that you need me
When in love you said you’d never leave me

chorus

Now it’s gone I know I really need it
Fall in love and tell you that I mean it
One times to many I agree yea
When in love you know you can’t leave it

chorus

Thanks for the lyric. It is a good one for a rock song.

You'll find Justin under "The Darkness" - listen to the "Permission To Land" album.

I changed the echo voice on the break and end.

Thanks JP (Majestik Monkey). There are three guitars on it, but no Gibson. Gretsch 6128, Ibanez Jem, and Brian May guitar. I discovered I can use the Scream as a treble booster. Maybe that is giving it a Gibson like sound.

Whoa! Good stuff for sure. I think the vocals are interesting in how they sort of crack like a teenager's voice.

Umpteenth remix. There are a lot of conflicting tracks on this, and I wanted to clean it up a bit. The original is long since gone. Here's how it sounds now:

Definitely has a sort of raw/spare fusion-punk sound on the verse which I think comes from the vocals as much as the production. The chorus changes this vibe a bit to more college rock radio. Not sure exactly what you're going for, but the track works.

Thanks JNefflind. I originally was going for a lot of guitar layers.

This is sounding rather 1979 now. Like those rock bands that were injecting some Punk rawness into their music whilst still being squarely in the Rock camp.

Seems a bit lost around the 2:00 mark. Maybe add a human element like clapping during the first part of the instrumental then drop it as the guitar takes the lead again. The third part of the bridge and repeat of the riff make the track lose punch too. Either add something vocal or x them.

Going pretty damn well I say

:)

Interesting ideas. Thank you Benedict. I'll give it a try.
