Great stuff but after asking the price they ask for a TR-8 I think they taking the piss of there customers with selling expention packs !

these are so digital (707 / 727) ..... any sample pack made with them will make the same results anyway IMO .
It does not die , it multiplies !

7.101 and I will upgrade maybe this summer .

I think I want a tr-8 really much , it is amazing but yes upgrades like that should be free IMO ,

I dont think the idear of paying for these plug-outs is making owners of it happy but the good thing is that I finded already two tr-8 at around 400 dollars on 2nd hand market .

I want one but in no way will ever buy a plug-out separatly !  I want to pay more if i need but have all the kits .

There's a difference.

The (firmware)upgrades are free.

Expansion of you machine is not.

Just upgraded my TR-8 with the 7x7 expansion pack.
And I must admit that I'm very pleased with the new sounds.

how much did you pay to upgrade your tr-8 with this plug out ?

also how does it work ?  once you loaded 7x7 does it take long to load back the tr808 sounds  ?
how is that working ? Î Wonder because the tr8 got his price and in my entourage we like these sounds , I may get a collect going on for one of my Producer friend that got his b-day on two months .

PS: VT-3 is amazing , beleive it or not it's better then the vt-1 for result's and workflow and creativity ....

75 euro's

You must register with Roland. Once you have an account you can buy the update program.
This program installs the new sounds on your machine. But you must verify with a password from your acount before the program install the new sounds. Installation is done in a few milliseconds!
Once installed you can use the sounds. No need to load back the 808 sounds. They are all on 1 machine!

I bought the TR-8 because as a child I couldn't afford a TR-808.
Another reason I bought it is because I want to get away more from the computer. That's where the value is for me.
I think your Producer friend would like the additional sounds. ;)

I want the VT-3 also. But first saving up for the analog 4! (And that takes tooooooo long)

And this is an excellent demo on how to use the TR-8 other than your standard lame repetitive drum grooves.

It's a little long winded but it a great showcase:
