(Synthpop) Jane Is Not Afraid

I don't want to say how many months it took (let's just say more than 6, less than 8), but we finally finished our first EP for Jane Is Not Afraid! There was a lot of reflection and pushing through my self-imposed barriers of fear and doubt. There were laughs, there were tears, and a lot of effort, but here we are. There are four songs and a bonus. The running order happened to be best in the order in which we created them, with the bonus being a remix of "Take You For Granted." Benedict liked the bit softer feel of that one, so we kept it as a bonus track.

You can watch our live action video on YouTube. Yes, we were miming. No, I couldn't read my own lyrics without my glasses. It was hot as Hades where we were recording so it got one take. I suspect my Hollywood career may be over before it started, but I hope you like the song

Note that there is no autotune, no AI. I own my inability to write or sing I've written four whole songs, that must be putting me somewhere near legend status by now, surely!

Thanks! I feel that the songs got better as we went along, too. I am proud of all of them, especially given my starting point was zero, but happy that I can see progress as well

Thank you! That's definitely the space we were aiming for, so the fact that you hear it that way is really encouraging. I'm not sure what the next body of work will be yet; an album or EP, but there will definitely be one
