this is a beat from 2021 I remixed a bit and remastered. Might put vocals on it later. Any feedback appreciated

I really like all the trance elements of this track, they're done really well. Great opening, like the build up. I am struggling with the offbeat roaring bass choice, maybe I'm just an old fart but I'd love a more traditional trance bass sound to go along with the elements. The break is great, good melodies (would like those extended) and I love that reverse/sucking sound.

Haha thanks Wolf. Interesting that you don't like the bass sound as it's one of my favorite elements. By trance bass you mean like a rolling/arp bass? I don't know too much specifics of each genre as I usually just experiment and go with the flow. And yeah that break is probably my best, sets a nice tone before the beat drops again.

A rolling/arp bass might work yeah, but I meant more the softer nature of a traditional trance bass sound compared to the roaring bass on Mercury. But maybe the point of your track is the contrast between the soft trance and the hard bass, in which case ignore this old fart 🙂

Haha, love that you refer to yourself as an old fart. I guess that makes me a young fart
