Started making music again. I was a Reason 3.0 user for a bit and then left music for other things. Snagged Reason+ on Black Friday last November... What a blast! So many incredible new tools and sounds to fiddle with.

Here are a few of my Tracks/Rubs to sample. Still learning, so if you hear something in the mix and have pointers, I'm all ears. Just link me the tutorial :-)

(If you go back further than a few weeks on my youtube page, song files were exported with incorrect soundcard settings *facepalm) but we learners here hah. Looking forward to scouring all the creations in this sub!

Hello,

Plucking the beat: This would work really well as game music
Neck-o-Flex: I like this too; playful style, great beat.

In general about levels: I hear too much drums and too little of the very nice things going on in the background.

Thanks for checking it out!

Yes, levels/instrument positioning are what i've been spending the most time with recently. Slowly improving.
The drums are heavy, due to these being for a certain dance style (popping)

Few other problems with the above. Audio was exported at an incorrect bitrate and left them a little muddy. Newly exported are much brighter/depth. The videos above were done incorrectly also, hah. I was compressing the audio from 24bit wav (at an already wrong bitrate) to 320 through the video software without realizing.
*double facepalm

I posted two new tracks on the sub with correct export settings. Hopefully a difference in clarity.

As someone with a long neck, I much appreciate "Neck-o-flex", and so does this guy. The chord change in each section reminds me of Prince's "Vicki waiting", which can't be a bad thing. Your track is a bizarre and excellent cauldron in which it sounds like a live funk band at a wedding at being melted into DAW form. The clash of acoustic and completely electronic samples is great.

Love it.
I don't know what i'm doing, but enjoying the m̶a̶d̶n̶e̶s̶s̶ process

Here is a selection of stuff playing with different ideas. Mostly remix/covers, trying to pick up things from other genres/creators i enjoy
Curious what instruments/tools/effects i could be looking into
