I enjoyed this and can't fault the production. The onyl suggestion I would make was as I was lsitening to it, watching the demonic face in your video, I was waiting for the synths to let rip and get a bit nastier. The sounds you have chosen are perfect, and it felt like you could push them harder in the breakdowns. I envy your ability to place sounds very well spatially.

Appreciate this. That's a good idea in regards to the synths. For the spatial mixing, I usually use stereo imaging, reverb and delay and sometimes some mid-side compression on synths that live in the mid and high frequencies, so the mono/mid zone is mostly available for kick, bass, mid-bass and snare

Thanks for the spacing tips, I appreciate it👍🏻

Great track!
I love the sounds you chose.
Good use of both stereo and mono field.
Sounds good on iphone and headph as well.
Ppl get very good at mixing and mastering nowadays.
Is it the yt turorials or are you an engineer yourself? 😉
Seeing the track title and thumb i expected something more agressive, gnarly and distorted, but i dont mind the way it is now.
Keep it up!

Appreciate it. I’m an engineer also, but self taught, mostly YT, some online courses and books

Interesting point about the thumbnail

Nice tune. I especially like the little melodic riff with delay that's panned to the left.
I typically think all your tracks has cool parts in them. Sometimes I wish there was a little more variation in the tracks though. But I'm not sure if these track are made to have vocals over them. If that's the case it's a different story.
I understand why you'd put that watermark thing in there, but for me it gets really annoying hearing that in every track. It kind of ruins the whole listening experience a bit. And every time I know it's gonna be there. But it's your music. You do what you feel like is best for you.

Appreciate the feedback. Out of curiousity, what kind of variations did you have in mind for this particular track that you think would make it better for you? It might give me some ideas. As for the vocals, I think they are all vocal friendly since I typically suppress a certain amount of mids and highs for two reasons, easier to place vocals over and less fatiguing on the ears in general (it also makes the tracks more re-playable at least for my ears), but in my dance tracks I have been experimenting with just letting the mids and highs come out more

For the watermark, I only place it once usually in the beginning intro and never repeated. For me her voice sounds good as a "mood setter" for lack of a better term. I also have a shorter version without the "dot com" part but I think this is a cool way to promote my site for a second where I'm trying to drive traffic

I can offer a couple of ideas to try out. But ultimately please take them with a grain of salt, as I believe any outside feedback can just as easily ruin the original intended vision of a piece of music. Not all advice transfer to different genres either.

I would personally make a strong decision whether or not it's supposed to be instrumental or if it's intended to have vocals added to it later on. If you decide to keep it instrumental there could be more room for strong melodic hooks that replaces any vocals. On the other hand if you want to add vocals later on, the music can't be "too insteresting" with memorable hooks as that can easily distract from the main element which is the vocals.

For variation you could always try out to have one part of the track where the bass doesn't start on the root note. I'll give an example from one of my own tracks (simply because I know my own music well). You'll hear that even though there are plenty of bass notes going on in the track, every part starts with the root except for the part at 1:15. At that point it's a change. That sort of thing can switch things up a bit and make the song less monotonous.

Thanks I'll keep that bass trick in mind. Most of my music is intended to be both for instrumental and vocals because I sell them and also distribute for streaming. I understand your point about adding more synths or melodies if vocals won't be present. It's something to consider as long as it sounds good and makes the track better (but I'm very picky about what goes in) and I can still mix the synth bus to leave room vocals. For sure still plenty of room for evolution

Solid song! I'd do what RYFX said.. maybe get some distortion on that main bass track.. hell automate the wet dry so the distortion hits the hook leaving the verses as is..
