kinda fun sounding little tune, in spite of the topic (war/politics). might be the happiest I've ever been with backing vocals.

The instrumentation is my favorite part of this track. I like the vocal mix as well, but, outside of the hook I can't really make out what's being said. That's a small complaint though as this song sounds really good.

thanks! I used to spend a lot of time working to get every syllable of every word to sit perfectly audibly in a mix, but after listening to a lot of my favorite artists found myself constantly reminded that pretty often, I could only really hear the 'music' in the vocals, and not the words. it was a good reminder that what makes a good song for me is the experience of the sound, and authenticity with how messy audio is in the first place...these days, I try to be okay with a little bit of frequency masking here or there, parts occasionally falling a little below the rest of the music, and even the occasional minor mistake, because that echoes what I'd expect from a live performance.
