slow.robot - Tension Hook (rock/slow-burn/progressive)

some new music came out Friday, but I've been busy...slow.robot living up to its name and all...

anyway, this one's personal for me, musically. I lost my dad last month--we knew it was coming, and I guess it'd be weird if that hadn't seeped into the music I was working on. I don't really know what the lyrics are about, but I purposely kept that separate from the music. so, the music feels like these last few months have for me. slow, difficult, painful. maybe that makes the two feel detached, and if it does, I'm okay with it.

at any rate, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. hope some of you like it. take care, and hug your loved ones.

I like the track. It definitely has a real heaviness to it, and I don't mean musically as in heavy metal heavy, but the way it hits emotionally. Which makes sense from your described experience.
It's a nice track, well worth some repeated listening.

Damn I'm sorry. I lost my dad a few years ago and remember exactly how it feels like it was yesterday. I died for months. I started writing a song for him but I'm letting it write itself over time as the memories and emotions come and go.

Solemn vibe. The wall of sound is incredible. Just the right touch of emotion in every instrument. It's melodic, it's got dissonance, it's soft, it builds. Very raw and powerful. Thank you for sharing. Stay strong my dude.
