Thanks. I'm right at the beginning with the 2600 and will need to watch some YouTube videos to get more out of it but it sounds great to me even with basic settings

Thanks. I have to work a lot harder with hardware but I find the process more enjoyable.
That said, it makes me wonder at what Reason can do these days. I appreciate Reason much more after working with hardware for a bit.

I used to mess around with hardware in a friend's studio years ago back when I just dj'd but didn't have a clue what I was doing. Always remember using his novation supernova, green waldorf thing and nord lead keyboard and just having fun hence I would love to own some hardware in the future.Synthopathe wrote: ↑13 Jul 2022Thanks. I did look at nord leads a while back but do not have the spare cash and kind of wondered if it would sound as great as I used to think it did as it was over 20 yrs ago I used one.
I actually picked up reason as my first daw as it reminded me of patch bays etc.

That's exactly why I loved reason, it was intuitive due to the patching etc.
One good thing about money and hardware is that it retains fairly good value if you buy 2nd hand like I mainly do.

Thanks. It is pretty basic in musical terms, mainly came together to test my new set up. I see what you mean about the fx.

I never explain myself (joke). It is kind of tenuous but it was recorded and mastered (lightly) in Reason.
