No, not inspired by the sampler haha, although the song is done entirely in Reason 12 :)

Pretty damn gorgeous this. The intro has shades of Disasterpeace's Hyper Light Drifter, which is cool. Love that riff at 1:50, then goes very Meshuggah at 2:10. I really like the ambient sections, like at 2:30.

What do you use for your guitar amp? (unless it's a secret)

Thanks! Yeah I started this one almost immediately after playing that game. It’s one of the best soundtracks of all time.

It’s Kuassa Creme! That + their EQ and Scream, that’s all :)

Heavy and ambient is always a great combo and clearly well done here. The lead phrasing is really good, too. This reminds me of some of Bulb's old instrumentals. Nice work!
