the light on the lake
we once knew something there
a silent reminder of where
ripples sent over an expanse
of criss-crossing lives
our reach never reached beyond

skip these stones
(tiny waves)
lows, and highs, and lows
(tiny waves)

and we're here
and it's something
I don't think we could've known
we'd lost sight of one another
but in the unknown of the night
we could always make our way
by the light of the lake door

skip these stones
(tiny waves)
lows, and highs, and lows
(tiny waves)
skip these stones
(tiny waves)

and we're here
and it's something
I don't think we could've known
we'd lost sight of one another
but in the unknown of the night
we could always make our way
by the light of the lake door

I've seen it go
and I know, and I know
you can't tame a ghost
and I know...

the light on the lake
we once knew something there
a silent reminder of where
ripples sent over an expanse
of criss-crossing lives
our reach never reached beyond
wrote this about one of the most important relationships in my life. turned out well, I think. (also can be found on all streaming platforms, and bandcamp)

this is also sadly the first track I’ve posted here done in another DAW, with a little help from RRP. especially happy with the Skrock reverb.

and yes this also serves as a bump—should never have posted new music in the middle of the night on a Thursday. 😆
