My arrangement of Lullaby of Birdland. George Shearing wrote it in 1952 for Morris Levy, the owner of Birldland. Shearing said he wrote it in ten minutes! I play alto saxophone, flute, synths and there are other midi sounds. The A section uses drum loops played by Terrence Higgins (from Loop Loft). The loop is called “Swunk-Chill”. There is also a Hofner pick bass, and stage Rhodes with pedal board sounds. I played flute for a horn line harmonized to three parts for A2. At various times I added a pad in the Europa synth in Reason called “Colours Pad”. There is also a guitar pad added in some parts. The B section changes to an up-tempo swing feel. I used a mastering plug-in designed for pop tunes. Reason 11

Nice playing. Especially like the flute.
Wow! Another piper in the community! And a Beautiful one (not an ugly fat arse like me!).
I play Flutes (transversal and recorder), bagpipes, and a bunch of traditional wind instruments, like Tin Whistle, bansuri and so on.
Anyway...
I liked it. The playing is great and the mix sounds good here. I like the flute arrangement too.
But if you allow me some constructive critique, I think the key parts sound a bit "empty" and detached, it should be fuller and the bass patch you used is too stacatto.
Other than that, good playing and nice mix! Keep them coming!
