The compositional theory behind this doesn't feel dark to me at all - maybe you were going for a fun Jack Skellington kind of vibe. Just saying it has an innocent feel. I'm curious how this would feel if I changed the modal tone.

'aquatic ambience' reminds me of being a lad in 1987, hearing music from that era/area, while exploring San Diego and loving every minute of it.
