Wow, thanks for the thorough response! I’m currently in the process of trying real hard to finish tracks. I have tons of about 16 to 24 bar fleshed out ideas but building on those ideas to make a full length track is my problem. I’m forcing myself to finish songs I start because over time I’ll learn more and actually have songs finished. The longer I do that the quicker I should finish things. Thanks again for the info, it’s really helpful!

I mainly work in the sequencer so that’s not an issue.

That is an interesting way to put more limitations on yourself!

I've been limiting myself to just creating combinators with their own sequencers, its kind of liberating.. Cross-pollination of beats, bass, sequences etc. I focus on one element at a time and make it as interesting as possible.

I digress. sounds great!
I write acid music in Reason and perform live on a bunch of machines without computers.

Thank you.
In case you haven't read the liner notes, yesterday's song was me taking my oldest project ever in Reason (first saved as an .rns in July 2002, though I 'saved' it before that as instructions in a text file, as I was using the demo version of Reason since 2001) and making it into a song.
Today I took the first song I ever finished in reason, which was my third project ever in Reason, also similarly first saved on the same day I got the full version of Reason in July 2002, but I finished it a long time before that, also - saved as instructions in a text file -- And I remixed it.
Here it is:
If you wanna go back to hear the original song as it was in 2002, go to the '2002 Exploited' album on my site. It's the first song in that album.
