(Ambient) The Call - AmbientOnline Compilation Vol.9 Pt.2

My latest offering for the AmbentOnline.org compilation. All fully composed, mixed, and mastered in Reason 10.

Tallying up the list of synths I've used in this track, I realise there are some big guns here ...

Subtractor - we still need to give this some love!

The main vocal sample was from ABC news 1968. Sounds include manipulated stock sounds but I also used refills from Soundcells and Space Ambient and further samples from AES DANA's Fragments01 and Aethers sample packs for most of the percussion. The opening sound you can hear was a field recording that I imported into Grain for further manipulation.

No VSTs were harmed (or used) in the making of this track.

Very nice work. It's probably because I'm listening on a laptop at the moment but the pad sounded a little too metallic. Other than that, I really like the overall vibe and progression of this. Interested in hearing more.
