It's that, but it's also because at the time this was the kind of music I wanted to create. I was listening more to metal so these kind of ideas came more naturally to me.
I'm just not in the same mindset now that I was back then. If I did it now it would feel forced.
I started this project mostly because I was curious how the result would be if I made synth based metal without guitars. It was mostly an experiment. In total I wrote 27 songs for this project. That's a lot. In the end I felt like I milked the idea as much as I could. After 27 songs the curiousity aspect wasn't there anymore. The last Synthetic Flesh EP I wrote was pretty much through pure force and the project became a complete turn off because of that.
If I ever decided to give the project another go it would be out of curiosity of how I would write now with more song writing/mixing experience. And also to see if using rack extensions would make it different. The whole project so far has been using the stock instruments and effects, Thor, Subtractor, Malström, Scream4, RV7000 etc.

You got the licence for Reason 10, right ?
If no, you gotta save those 400 bucks for the upgrade dude, I've been using Reason 4 for years and I'm impressed you get this result on this version.

Yeah I'm on Reason 10 now and I also own many rack extensions.
