So here's an older track that I re-arranged so it could be a demo track for my upcoming expanse refill. It's gonna be called "eXpandemonium" (which is hopefully what the track conveys :-) ) and will hit the shop sometime in the coming month, props willing. Any feedback appreciated, as always!

Hi Auryn,

I really like this - for me, it sounds like it has different chapters, and in my head, the early part of the track sounds like a score to a dark thriller movie where a character has lost control, and crossed a line that can't be uncrossed, and is spiralling into torment and insanity... then it changes gears at around 5:30 for a breakdown > build-up to something that I think would sound cool in a sci-fi movie where some aliens/cyborgs are tearing into the refuge of our main characters... but maybe that's just me... I love the aggressiveness of it though!

Great production to my ears (for what that's worth), but that last cymbal at the end sounds a little harsh in my sennies.

I see a bit more of what you are saying in your feedback to me about developing ideas, I guess I'm a bit impatient right now, I'm still trying to figure out how Reason works, and haven't fully grasped the possibilities yet.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for listening. I had to smile at the the idea that after all that sonic destruction the last cymbal was too harsh for your senses. Perhaps I should just leave it out after subjecting the listener to all that brutality. You might be right that there's a slight disconnect between the two parts, but either way I'm glad to have sparked your imagination. To me this is just some giant cataclysmic battle, and the last part is where they march in the gargantuan destructor robots :puf_bigsmile: .

You defineatly gravitate towards a harsh abrasive fm sound.
Warning this is not conducive for Shaolin monk meditation.

yeah there's been a lot of stress in my life last few months, hence all the dissonance... maybe I should mellow it out a bit.

I'm not recommending you do the opposite of what you typically do, or what makes sense in regards to your current situation in life. I just have observed the abrasive nature of some of you work, like you might notice the temperature change when you get off a plane in Somalia.
