Hint: check out Simmons SDS5/9 toms. These are “handmade” but a pretty bald copy of their sound. As an aside, don’t they remind you of Def Leppard? The Simmons kit was what their drummer used!

Thank you! I grew up in the 80’s (born in 1980) and I remember both pop and rock having these enormous and powerful drum sounds....and of course synths all over all the track as well.

Sounds great, I love the sounds (of course) and the drums are excellent. Agree those toms are pretty sick. I love especially those polysynth chords starting at 20 seconds in. Great job.
Still nostalgic about the old days, writing songs with my Amiga 500, Korg M1, and Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler.

This would have worked with Blue Thunder or Airwolf or whatever that helicopter series was back in the 80's.
Nice energy and drive and of course lovely sounds.....

It was actually inspired by the classic first chase scene in Blade Runner....crowded streets in Oriental LA, Deckard frantically searching for the Replicant, finding her and shooting her as she crashes through a bunch of plate glass windows and falls dead on the street.Carly(Poohbear) wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018This would have worked with Blue Thunder or Airwolf or whatever that helicopter series was back in the 80's.

Nothing at all like the beautiful Vangelis score, this is a re-imagining of the specific chase scene....and only very loosely based on it at that....but it’s supposed to be suspenseful and energetic.
