Hey guys . Latest track using mainly Subtractor and id8's. Finished in time for Grant's yesterday:)
this is just an interim track while we get ready for our next remix project due end of this month.
Appologies if your Subwoovers have to work hard and lacks sound quality. We r using cheap computer speakers
and even cheaper headphones:) Hopefully we can win that gear end of this month:) Wish us luck.

Hi Phuture!

Some nice sounds there; the voice like effects, are they samples or formant filtered somehow?

Regarding balancing with cheap monitors, yes the bass is something to fix: you could always have a look at the frequency analysis through Audacity.

Audacity is great, since you can also record any streaming tunes from genres with which you'd like to compare your own mixes.

This is a snapshot of how the tune looks from a frequency perspective:

Thank you:) the voice effects: I recorded someone on my galaxy s3. Chopped up the vocals in Reason,
exported as Rex loops, fed those loops through a vocoder , some thor/predator filters and used ,malstrom/subtractor
to carry the signal. The last part is not a necessity but i like to be able to play the vocals to be in key with everything else.
So much can be done to vocals once it is a Rex loop. Possibilities are endless.
