This is a cool little tune. Has a bit of a video game feel to me.

As for uploading stuff I forgot I did, most of it I forgot for a reason. (haha)

Dunno - a lot of the stuff on my hard drive is there because it's they're ready for prime time, ha.   :)

Here's something I posted early on and totally forgot to finish...messing with the psaltry patches in the FSB (I think).

I'll play  :s0221:

Here is an unfinished track from way back when I got reason in 2011.

Been sitting in a folder unloved. I thought I'd let it out and have a wander.

Its called 'We March on the Dog Star'

Not mastered or even EQed if I remember rightly but still, give it a hug with your ears, it doesn't get listened to much at all.

Love to hear others long forgotten tracks and ideas.

I have embraced Allihoopa. Come listen and play with my crap Figure loops here:
https://allihoopa.com/zeebot

They really are crap.

Nice little tune you got there and a neat idea for a thread...........my problem is it would be too hard to pick something from the countless unfinished or in most cases, barely started tracks I have. Some, I dare say would go as far back as Reason 4 files :)

From Time to Time I look into the old Files. It is more then easy to fix the Mix now, and with luck I found some forgotten Take that catches me again. But it is way too much too check it all. But it is always a nice Time Traveling, like finding a Book with old Pictures from the Family.

Very cool topic. I have something that I forgot about until recently and something that I did in January that I play "To Post or Not To Post, That Is The Question" with.
First the forgotten. The full story behind my effort on this one I won't tell cuz it's a little embarrassing for me. Let's just say I came across this track and wanted to do a live remix of it and did so. There are a few reasons I never posted it to my YouTube account - none of which has to do with the embarrassment I mentioned. The biggest reason is that I didn't feel like I brought much to the original song (which I like very very much) and at the same time feel like I took a lot away (a majority of the vocals). I told myself that I wouldn't post it unless I contacted the artist and got his blessing. For that reason this will remain in my dropbox account for a week or two and then I will take it down - because I have no plans to contact the artist.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/rqimhra4q66l4 ... 8.m4v?dl=0

the date on the file is 2014.08.01 - at the time it was probably one of the more complicated yet enjoyable routines I had come up with.
Second is something I did in January. Again this is another remix (funny because I don't do a lot of them these days). Someone very dear to me found this track. Although she loved it she also felt that I could do a lot with it. When I heard it I agreed with her - but more importantly I felt like I HAD to do something with it as it became more and more haunting each time I listened.

While I liked what I came up with on fairly short notice (the person who suggested it is not known for her patience) I just don't like the final product. Perhaps if I shot the video at a different angle instead of this alligator arms inducing angle I might have been ok with it. What bugs me more is the mistake I make towards the very end. If you watch close you will see me miss a snare hit. This was frustrating as I wasn't playing well that night and this was my best take to that point. After what I thought could only look like a huge wiff I sorta played annoyed and threw in a "Bah FUCK IT" fill. Turns out when I looked at the video that the wiff wasn't super obvious. Worse is that the wiff or rather not attempting a second snare hit at that point, would have been the right choice. So I make a mistake that that resulted in something that likely sounded better and wasn't jumping off the screen screaming "YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, YOU SAW HIM MISS BAD!!!" and proceed to play annoyed from that point until the end of the song insuring I won't like it and won't post it to YouTube.

I have one more of these, I think. I will post it if I find it and can remember why it has been in the dog house.

A cool idea.  It reminds me of some music I heard a while back at a local art exhibit....there was a beatnik-type theme - very eclectic, lol

This one can come off the list. Turns out the artist found me after finding this post of mine on Instagram:
https://instagram.com/p/qGDYr_lDHe/?tak ... emarschall
He told me he liked what I did (at least what he could make of it from the 15 second clip) and said he was cool if I posted to YouTube. So I did:

Very cool way this ended up.

Consider me impressed...I thought I was pretty good with my padKONTROL but you've nailed it.  I like the remix and apparently so does the artisit...nice work.

While I was cleaning up some folders of stuff I`ve done in reason over the years I found a shit load lol.
One that I really liked that I found was this one . It was a rework of a bit done by Sara Brito a Portuguese
artist . The vocals were terribly bad recorded on just a laptop through its internal mic ( really noisy and full of harsh pops and clicks ) hence why I until now never put it on sc so after a two min glossing over of it and reading this post I did just that.

Some great stuff! This is a really great idea, kind of inspires you to get off your butt and try and complete some long lost long evening sessions.
Thought I'd thrown in another offer. This is also from 2011 found on an external hard drive hiding away.
Not mastered, eqed and the levels sound a bit of a mess but it is what it is and I think thats the point really.
Lots more layers to add to it.
Its called Just Woke Up.

here's a liveset me & my friend did on 2007, all synths are hardware (Korg elecribe MX, Microkorg Vocoder & anotehr small electribe i've forgot the name of...)

Drums are samples played trough ableton (4 then i believe) & the MIDI for the Korg's was send out as well from Ableton, & my friend does the voice trough the vocoder, mind our hilarious lyrics like 'Sheisse Geil' :P
i'm the one controlling the Korgs ...

This is a liverecording from a party for 200 people, & somewhere in that set is a Windows Soundpop because my virusscanner reminded me to update, lol :)

Anyway, i hope someone enjoys this, this is my pre-Reason period :)

A little rhythmic gating on that first sound that gets introduced and maybe a really simple melody this would be a nice strolling complete track in my eyes almost there as it is ;) .
I am looking at a pile of audio tapes and some four track tapes and some zip disks I still have floating about maybe one day ill go through them as they held some of my old releases from back in the day ( I`m 46 now and they were from my very early 20`s if not earlier age if I remember lol) and lots of demos etc from my Amiga days.

Yeah it needs some sort of leady melody and some higher pad harmonies towards the end, some back ground transitions to smooth it out a bit, levels etc. Damn I'm a lazy bugger :)

You should post some of your stuff up, I just find it really interesting to see what people have lying around that could sound great to others.
I've got right mad stuff thats like FSOL on acid. Some of it is just incomprehensible.
