Hello all,
unfortunately I hardly find time to be active here. Nevertheless, I'll post a link to my new EP here (like the last two times). maybe someone will like it. If someone likes it, I can also post codes then you can download the files uncompressed. Just leave a comment here - I'll take a look again in the next few days. As always, everything is done in Reason 11 Suite (plus rack extensions), I like the program even if it is sometimes very complicated. Thanks in advance if anyone listens to it.
Have a nice day.

Int(r)o darkness..cool use of reversing sound. I like the crispness of the percussion. That deep throbby synth is a beaut. The high distorting keys are lovely. Great ending.

Really enjoyed it especially 'Int(r)o Darkness' and 'Dust'. As Wolfzeit said, you've used and created some great patches, evolving sounds and textures.

It creates an eerie yet sometimes warm atmosphere with the analogue textures taking me on surprising journeys with unexpected chord, key and melody changes.

I'd love to see the projrct song files and would certainly watch a YouTube breakdown of your tracks if you ever found the time for such an undertaking.

You are obviously very talented, well done ๐Ÿ‘
P.S. I've used a download code (the last one on the list 2mht-cee4) and joined your mailing list! Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

Pitchblack - I like the crackling percussion. Love the way this track washes around you in headphones. Great use of the vocals, love how you've sunk them deep down into the music. Just went and listened to the singer's original version too, its cool. I really like how the track opens up and the synth that comes in 1.47. The only feedback I'd give is I felt that the traditional piano that plays is Low Pass filtered down just slightly too much. Maybe thats to make space for the other fizzing synths and effects, but my ears wanted it slightly brighter. But thats only a small thing, I really enjoyed this track.

Thanks you very much for listening and the kind words. My computer is too old to record videos and music at the same time, so that won't happen - you would probably be disappointed too. I'm a notorious preset user (often slightly modified) but the starting point is usually presets. But I'm really glad you liked it. Making music is more relaxing for me, so I'm even happier when others find something nice about it too.

Thank you very much for listening. I'm glad you liked it. By the way, the synth that comes in at 1:47 is a subtractor. A modified preset called slow and unstable. You can find it in the holiday refill which was self-published by reasonstudios in 2019 (?). I'm always amazed at how good the old synthesizers can sound. Yes the piano is a bit dark, but tbh i can't remember why i made it that way :?

Btw. I don't understand why more people don't sample women's voices lower - you usually only hear them pitched up. They sound so great in lower registers.

I listened to the first track.
Very nice soundscape. One can tell you've carefully chosen your sounds.

Agreed. I've been enjoying putting 13's Stereo Tool on Subtractor, it has freshened the sounds up and helped me see just what a great synth it is.

I tried my best to choose interesting sounds (even if they are all retro-inspired) - goal was that they "connect" somehow to each other.

That Stereo Tool is amazing, especially for Subtractor - unfortunately my machine is so old that it can't run R13 properly. I think the HD stuff is just too much for my system - it is very slow. So i stick to R11 - until i have a new PC
