Hi all,

Am back on Web.... :puf_bigsmile:

I take time now to rework my abandonprojects after my long mourning after the disappearance of "Reason france".

I realize that I was making music that was complicated to develop and it's difficult today to get back to it.

The biggest problem that had to be tackled again was about synchronism of the notes because of the "delays" used but
I also had some problems of mastering to solve.

Thx for your listen and coms

It's an interesting tune. I think the best part is from 2:00-2:28. It gets catchy at that point.

Thank you Tomeo, without you, I probably wouldn't have had a comment.
But that's okay.
I am aware that I am a rather special case since it has often been pointed out to me.

My music can have unusual aspects! :puf_bigsmile:

Thank you for listening.

Very unusual indeed! Sounds like a weird synthetic rock.

It also has an air of mt Sims, peaches, le tigre... just somehow even weirder 😂

They are artists who have a somewhat similar style, just less weird, but still punk. You know what I mean? Look them up, start with Le tigre, and add Fischerspooner and the song rocker by alter ego to the list.

I didn't know any of them !
I recognized myself well in Mount Sims and Alter Ego "Rocker".
I am very surprised, you put quite in the mile without me even noticing !

Because yes, my influences can be a mixture of all that !
Rock, New wave and Punk styles.
I had never been aware of this before.

This revelation could quite serve me to guide my songs because until then,
I always wondered where I was going to leave.

many thanks !

That is quite a unique style and have to say it was unlike anything i have heard before. However that is not necessary a bad thing.

It was like a journey that took me on an interesting ride.

feedback wise only thing i would change is lower the volume of the fm bell type sound that comes in at 1:49/50 as it was a bit loud and startling for me

One of the joys i get from this music page of the forum is listening to different styles from reason users which i would not stumble across any other way.

Hi Popey,

I understand that my music is very unusual.
If you had heard what I was doing when I started in the 80s,
you'd be even more surprised !
My sounds were even more aggressive and the whole thing much more monstrous. :puf_bigsmile:

I think that over time, I start to better manage the holding of my instruments.
There may however be some strident but this time I don't feel like it is.
Maybe a question of listening equipment ?

Anyway, I thank you for listening.
It's an honor for me to read comments from people whose musical orientation is not necessarily that.

Hi! I like that track, especially that energetic distorted guitar. There are many cool ideas in it, the only thing I'd critisize: sometimes too many things are happening at once, or rather in a kind of clashing rhythms, can't describe it better. At times it made it difficult for me to follow a certain part. But maybe this is just my distorted perception 😅

No, very good perception ! realy !
I have long used all possible instruments in one track and I have a hard time purifying in
the end because everything is intertwined.

On the other hand, I don't build my tracks to stay in one configuration, because I try to make them follow a certain story.
It's my way of trying to have tracks that tell something, without just being a nice loop.

Some of my friends tried to perfect my tracks to help me, but they left to work only a part for convenience.
Often the ones they found the most danceable and the most promising.

I'm still swimming in search of my own style. More than 30 years that it lasts ! :puf_bigsmile:

thx for listening !

You know what? It's absolutely okay to still be in search of your style! I can totally relate to that, I started 20 years ago with Reason, and my style is everchanging. I was frustrated for a long time that I didn't know where I wanted to go. Now I can appreciate it not to know. Because it means I'll go where my Intuition will lead me.

It's like sleepwalking. Daydreaming.

Yes, I fully agree with that principle. In my case, it's a bit peculiar.

I started with a style that had no correspondence. Following only my intuition.
I tried my hand at specific styles, close to the ones I was listening to.
I applied myself to enter into a precise musical style but once in front of the machines, impossible.
My brain always came back to something incongruous. Mixing styles.

While I was trying to develop my style, I saw all the derivatives of techno and dance come into being,
but I could never really identify my style with a genre.

So I have to deal with it ! Keep this mix of Punk, rock and New wave.
Until the end I would not get out of it ! :puf_bigsmile:

ps : i started in 1986 with analog machines. Atari Cubase, Korg, Yamaha Dx7, Roland Drums...etc...
Long far ago ! :?
