Hi, only Reason, making this, using Above all Synapse The Legend for almost all sounds, except the first lead sound (Blamsoft Expanse), and the strings (Magasaur)

I was meant to comment when you first posted this...
Really nice energy, loved the changes
however at 1:55/1:56 and 3:47 that lead is just a little too piecing (just the first phrase only, when it drops down it's really nice) so I don't know if you can EQ the top of it a bit or automate a level drop...
also at about 4:00 I would push that lead a little bit back in the mix as there is a really nice deep arp in the background which should be brought forward..
The ending needs working on but I find ending tracks is one of the hardest things.....
Overall it's a really cool track.
BTW I did notice the really slow pan out on the video was watching it on my 49" 4k monitor, very nice pic, did think you could flash some of the windows to the track.

Hi Carly, i think you are right in all the things you say. I´ll improve these things in the version 2.0 of this track. Thank you very much!

Hi
Four days with no comment is sad. Tut tut. It would be nice if we (as a community) could do better. Anyway...
Carly is right that it is a nice piece (we both like and write this sort of style). I have a different concern, I feel like I struggle to breathe as there is no space or breathing room. I think the issue is partly from the string pad which goes on and on with no break to create breathing points. Breaks don't need to be great, sometimes only a few 16th is enough. That strings pad also seems to only/mostly echo the lead without much/any counterpoint also probably adds to this feeling. Using different sounds in the main body of the mix will also help you create variety. It is the balance of novel and familiarity that needs to be found. That will help you with the ending too.
If you don't already own Nova "Terranova" (Rob Papen's old band) then I think it well worth it for you as they do such a nice job of handling the limited melodies, repetition and creating engaging arrangements.

Hi Benedict, thank you very much for your words. I like this track, is it a cover of a synth pioneers i think, no? However, i like more my own track here, since my point of view. It´s a much more dramatic, epic track, with much more of the feeling which i´m looking for in music. BUT i think you are right too, above all in the concern to let it to breath a little more. Good point, and i´ll work it too in the second version of the track. However the strings are a more subtle thing than a repetition of the melody. It´s an entire armony. The melody would be less interesting without the string armony (see it in the first bars. They are two different melodies, in fact, lead and strings). Anyway i see your point about the need of a bigger variation in sound. I´ll work all it!
I´ll share with you the next tracks of this project in next weeks and months. And i´ll be very thankfull to more constructive reviews like yours, because i´ll arrange and will fix things how are what you say in the final versions of the work. I´ll add new sounds, i´ll replace others, i ´ll sing vocoder parts, etc... And i will consider leaving to breathe more the tracks, and look for bigger sonorous variation.
Thak you again!

Nova were an early 80's act with Rob Papen and released several records of original pieces in the Jarre/Space Rock style. That album is well worth owning if you can find a copy.
Look forward to hearing more from you

Thank you Trefor!
Really, i love the kind of emotional feeling of this song, despite of the need of technical improvements...!
