where is the file Hypnosys Rom Workstation.rom placed on mac?

Sorry no manual yet for the Hypnosys, Im happy to answer any questions if needed. It is placed in your Vst3 folder (or Audio Units folder if you check the audio unit box when installing) I usually just do finder search for "vst3" to quickly find it...

Very cool... just one thing, it keeps coming up with an error saying "installation failed" on MacOS

So far untested on my mac running Monterey. I have had no time recently. My wife is on day two of the palliative death march. She's a fighter but it is only a matter of time now. Wow, that was extremely quick and hard to watch decline from the date of diagnosis on Feb 18th.
There sure seem to be a lot of super quick cancers these days from diagnosis and death.

that's very odd. There's thousands of downloads successfully installed if I had to guess it's maybe a firewall stopping it...
